Son ordered a Bloody Mary which they promoted with a bijou bottle of tomato juice. No tomato juice but would get. 10 mins later someone came down and asked the barman what it was he had to get. He returned eventually with two cartons of...More

Best fish and chips! The fish was cooked perfectly and the outside was super crispy. Also loved the tartar sauce and mashed peas that came with it. Fries were cooked well, too. Also got a soup which was ok. Typical bar / pub vibe.

If I lived in Bath it would definitely be one of my regular places to be!!! Loved it! I tried the Thatchers Haze cider they have and loved it. I hope I will find it again somewhere in a near future.

A cosy back street pub with good local beer and friendly staff that made us most welcome. The food is excellent far above normal bar fare. All home made with great local ingredients, no catering mass produced blandness here.

Comfortable pub with very friendly, knowledgeable staff and well-kept beers. A slim menu but good portions of delicious food. We had sandwiches with a shared side of chips - his BLT was well-filled and tasty, though his request for crispy bacon was ignored. My fish...More

Popped in for a quick drink. Great range of beers on offer, friendly bar staff, not surroundings and not to busy (at least early in the evening)

Hi the table we had was upstairs. I'm unsure if there was a lift. It is spread across a few levels. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Description
The Salamander is great city-centre pub.
'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath.
Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
