This is one of the best pubs in Bath. Good selection of beers, nice wines, food is excellent and the staff very accommodating. Well done to the management team keeping it all together!

Popped in for a few drinks on a Monday afternoon. The barman made us feel very welcome and had a good knowledge of the beers on offer. He also made an outstanding Bloody Mary. I left several hours later a little the worse for wear,...More

So hungry.... we have been waiting 60 minutes. By far the slowest service I have ever seen. In 60 minutes 4 entrees and 2 desserts have gone out. Unfortunately, none of them have been ours.

Great roast beef - couldn't fault anything on the plate! Potentially the best I've ever eaten. The restaurant area was not at all busy when we were there, but unfortunately service wasn't great and it was hard to get the server's attention to get the...More

Great little pub in the centre of Bath, serving well kept Bath ales by welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The pub was very clean and it had a friendly atmosphere.

Hadn't been here for 40 years! Really impressed to see an excellent range of beers, wines and gins. Did not eat here, but the menu and food being served looked really good - will be back!

Exceptionally good dinner, the Sunday roasts are first class and the best we've eaten out. The staff were very friendly staff and service very good.

I've had my fair share of roasts in Bath but the food here is amazing. Went for 3 courses and none disappointed. Squid special was so full of flavour and fresh, lamb roast was excellent and plenty going on the plate. An old classic cookies...More

Tried to have lunch there with the family. We made our orders and were told that there'd be 30min wait, however after over one hour wait, they didn't serve us. Upon asking, the waiter said he'd ask, but never bothered to get back to us...More

Hi the table we had was upstairs. I'm unsure if there was a lift. It is spread across a few levels. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Description
The Salamander is great city-centre pub.
'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath.
Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
