Light dinner option for us. The meat pies, burgers and fish and chips were amazing. Bath Beer options didn't hurt either on a warm afternoon. Service friendly and prompt. Would eat here again!

Good service, well located pub. Nice and quiet upstairs seating area. Only thing was that the menu was very limited, but the burger & chips I had was yummy! Love the quirky name of the pub as well!

Hen party of 14 dated 23/07/2016 late afternoon..........They didn't turn us away!! The barman (sorry don't remember his name) was very patient with all the rowdy girls and Service with a smile!! The poor man was used for some of the dares but took it all in good spirit. Thank you! ;) x

Totally recommend this lovely pub for food. My mate had fish and chips (huge) and I had steak pie. Both were amazing. It was a Monday lunchtime and so not overly busy, but the quality is so good that I imagine it would get busy later in the week.

When you visit England, it is a must to eat a meat pie. After walking by this place several times, my family and I finally had dinner here on a Tuesday night. From Sunday through Wednesday you can get a pie and ale for £10. My husband and I both got the steak pie. It was yummy! And for my... More

Great vibe, friendly staff, good beer selection. Classic pub food. As Americans, enjoyed the authentic pub experience.

Stopped in for food and a pint but the kitchen was closed on Sunday. Bartender offered some recommendations. They don't carry a tab, pay as you go. It was early in the evening and only a few other patrons. I could see it being a great and lively atmosphere later in the night.

We came in during a rainy Sunday lunch to try some ales and food. The salamander is a great little pub nestled behind milsom street in bath so slightly off the beaten tourist trap. We went for their pie and a pint offer which was extremely good value for money and the pies were really tasty. I'd recommend that the... More

I decided to give this pub another chance since the menu changed, and unfortunately you have missed the boat by a mile. You had such a great menu and delicious food, now you have a very limited menu and average food. On a more positive note, your beer is great. I'm going to keep an eye on your website /... More

The Salamander is great city-centre pub, 'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath. Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a wonderfully simple bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs.Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
