First visit to this quaint and slighly quirky pub. Quiet when we visited. Friendly and very attentive staff (although she was the only member front of house), excellently cooked food (wide choice) at very reasonable prices, served promptly. Slight issue over the drinks which she resolved graciously and generously. Excellent customer service.

Went here for a Sunday roast, they only had two beef roasts left so I had the lamb shanks. The meals were huge ,very traditional, but good value.Old school pub but an interesting little wine list, can't comment on the rest of the menu but it ,looked quite interesting as well.

Our first night in Bath. This was a lovely pub with a quiet atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. A great start to our week here.

Visited Bath with English friends. We looked for a place for lunch and came upon Sam Wellers by chance. We were delighted! It's everything an English pub should be: attractive quirky interior, friendly staff, good food at reasonable prices. We feasted on jacket potatoes, which were a meal and a half and delicious. The other diners were having a good... More

Was raining, so we thought we would find a pub and have some lunch. This very nice cosy pub fitted the bill. It is a little darker than your average pub, but no problem. The food was good and reasonable priced. I must say that the faggots we had were the best we had ever had in a pub. The... More

Great food, nice staff and cold beers! Everything was perfect! We took a long time to choose a place to lunch and this was a great choice!

Nearly walk straight past this place as there weren't many people inside but looked at the small but adequate menu and took a punt. A very nice place with good wholesome grub at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit for real ale and nice food.

Went here for a bite to eat on a Sunday afternoon. The pub is very dark, the bar staff that day were miserable and rude, though fortunately the food was nice. Because of the female member of staffs bad attitude we won't go there again.

Small pub that offers a decent menu at reasonable prices. Very good food. Steak cooked to perfection exactly as it was ordered) Friendly staff. In the town. Sadly no beer garden.

We stopped in for an early dinner around four thirty. The place wasn't busy and the staff were attentive. We had fish and chips and nachos. Both were good and the portions were generous. Prices seemed fair. Nothing fancy but we were very satisfied.
