Small pub that offers a decent menu at reasonable prices. Very good food. Steak cooked to perfection exactly as it was ordered) Friendly staff. In the town. Sadly no beer garden.

We stopped in for an early dinner around four thirty. The place wasn't busy and the staff were attentive. We had fish and chips and nachos. Both were good and the portions were generous. Prices seemed fair. Nothing fancy but we were very satisfied.

Walking around Bath works up a hearty appetite and Sam Wellers was just the place to get a great burger and cider to wash it down. Thank you so much for your hospitality while my husband and I stayed in Bath on our vacation.

Traditional pub in the city center. We had lunch and enjoyed it so much we went back in the evening for dinner. Staff were friendly and the service was very good. We all had different dishes from the menu and specials and we all enjoyed our meals. The quality and quantity of the food were good value for money.

We returned from our quick trip to Salisbury to see the cathedral and the Magna Carta and wanted something easy and good for dinner on our walk from the train station to the Hilton where we were staying. We wanted something local-not TexMex, Asian, Indian, French, etc. as we kept finding. After some zigzagging, we found this place just a... More

Dropped in to Sam Weller's for a quick pub snack which arrived quite rapidly. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Excellent Timothy Taylor's beer from the north.

If any tourists out there want to experience a traditional English pub in Bath then this is the place to go. I first visited about 25 years ago and I don't think the place has changed much since. The beer is always spot on, food basic pub fare in generous portions (this is a good thing!) bar and pub clean... More
