Reasonable Sunday carvery which was available till late in the afternoon. Advised to prebook, but could have dined easily without.

We had the Sunday roast here and it was very good. Can be pretty busy so it may be worthwhile booking. We didn't but there was only 2. A group would need to book.

Sorry folks, but those who have given this more than two stars have either had limited pub experiences, limited food experience, or are just used to terrible food and service. OK, if you go to the bar and get a beer, the service is fine. Folks are friendly. Here is the lowdown: 1) the table I sat was historic: that... More

Have eaten here over a number of years, mostly Sunday lunch, but also evening menu as well. Have yet to be disappointed, find the quality consistantly high and the choice at the carvery excellent. Staff friendly and efficient, working management usually in attendance maintaining high standards.

Well, that was worth it! Who'd have thought than an off the cuff decision to have a Sunday roast could have worked out so well. No nonsense, all elements cooked to perfection, plates piled high... And for the two of us, including drinks, I got change out of 25 quid! I had the roasted pork belly with perfectly lean pork... More

We had dinner here while staying at the nearby New Crown Inn. Our dinner was very nice, we had traditional fish and chips and vegetarian lasagne. The meals were of a very big size and presented nicely. We weren't sure what ale to have so they let us have several samples. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had... More

We were staying nearby and our B&B hosts recommended The Weston. We had the value packed 2 steaks & bottle of red - steak cooked to perfection and great presentation on a board.

A fantastic, quiet place to have a lovely meal. My husband and I had the special offer of 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £25. ( best part was that it came with REAL chips!!) Superbly presented. And the lady behind the bar was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to all.

We recently visited the UK and Bath. Dined here as it was close to where we were staying and we had a lovely meal. Great vegetarian lasagne and true British fish and chips. Had a nice ale - they gave us samples of each to try. The décor was very nice with comfy areas to eat.

Thank Kim P
