We have not visited this pub for many years so decided to refresh o ld memories. Delightful friendly and knowledgeable staff with a good menu. All the food was well cooked and presented and full of flavour and our only disappointment concerned the small portions and quite high prices.

We were heading to the White Hart, a regular haunt, but they had a private function so we walked down to the Ring. A couple of years since we were last here and it's way better. We had the tapas style menu, patatas bravas with aioli, 3 bean 'hummus' both excellent; salt & pepper squid a bit oily; crab arancini... More

We had driven down from Shropshire and parked up and looked on Google and found this little gem. Outstanding food and nice and quiet. The owner was very friendly and helpful. All food is cooked to order with all fresh local ingredients. The location is out from all the busyness of Bath itself but it's only a 15 minutes from... More

We arrived late with no reservation, probably about the time the staff were thinking they could start packing up, but we could not have had a warmer welcome. The menu is small but with varied and interesting choices that suggest much thought. The food itself was fresh, seasonal and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed but very welcoming with unobtrusive music... More

As I state in the title, our first visit since these good folk took over. Has the benefit of accepting the Gourmet Society card so a good discount. Without this it's quite a pricey menu for not very generous portions. Having said that; everything is of the very best quality, so will be unable to rate it as being good... More

Well pubs have come a long way when it comes to food! This delightful pub serves up a classy meal in a nice cheerful setting. Food presentation is what you'd find in a 4-star restaurant in America. The menu was diverse and interesting. The food was delicious. I had the ox cheek starter and miso cod entree. Both were very... More
