A Wednesday evening in Bath is something to behold. A lot of young people (many students I guess) from the various sports clubs are out on the town but the ones we met were fun and friendly. We found our way to Gascoyne Place and were seated immediately without a reservation. Gluten free for one of the diners was no... More

We went to a dinner here with about 50 others. The food was very good nicely presented and despite the number of us was deliver quickly and cheerfully. We had all pre ordered which prevented chaos. I don't drink but am told that the wines were good. It is a cosy restaurant with a separate bar and in the summertimeoutside... More

Booked a birthday lunch for my boyfriend here, we got the set menu and the food was absolutely delicious. Very central location, quick service and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

I cannot thank the Gascoyne enough for everything they did for us on Saturday 8th October 2016. from the minute I placed an enquiry with Sammy to the minute we left the restaurant. The food was superb, every plate was empty and Connor (the waiter) was attentive and extremely helpful.

We stopped in here by chance Sunday for lunch. A sign outside said best Sunday lunch in Bath. I have to agree with them it was excellent. Roast surlion beef, roasters, parsnip, cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas and real yorkshires pudding.

mWe happened upon this restaurant searching for a place to accomodate a gluten allergy, and what a find it was. The food was excellent, the server and shift manager professional and fun. I would recommend a visit to this fine Pub for anyone visiting this fine City Southwest of London.

We found this place in a rainstorm in Bath, quite late at night and hungry. We chose the fixed price menu, which had a good selection. The chicken terrine was delicious, served with an equally delicious chutney. The mains were ok. For some reason I was expecting more exciting chips than they were (just your average frites). The pave steak... More

Thank you for your kind comments. We are delighted that you have described us as interesting, bohemian and delicious! That means a lot to us as an Independent. It's a shame you did not enjoy your steak as much as your starter. From your description it sounds like you are talking about the Onglet Steak. It does have a rich... More

More gastro, ie more restaurant, than pub. But it still serves +- 14 beers including local craft ales. And some serious cocktails. We came for a drink around 5pm on a Saturday and stayed for an early evening meal, which was delicious, even on the fixed price early menu. Accompanied by an interesting, varied and reasonably priced wine list; served... More

It was really nice place despite downstairs being quite dark (I could really see my food...!!) and the service was quite slow. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday, I don't know. But the food was really really good. I had the chicken breast roast, the seasoning on it was delicious and the cauliflower cheese divine. Go eat there!

Thank you so much for your comments. We are delighted that you enjoyed your Sunday Roast, but apologies that the service was slow. Sunday's do get... More
