Disclaimer: we have eaten here a couple of times before previously as a couple and it's been fantastic. We had a group of 14 of us, even though we pre ordered the service was a bit slow. Requests for items such as salad dressings went without answer until chased many times. Even charged £18 for table bread when requested. The... More

A great little restaurant which I am sure is very convenient for the theatre. We booked for 3 people for 7 pm but needed to bring it forward by an hour. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was excellent. We had a lovely soup and potato and pork terrine followed by Onglet steak and venison finished off... More

We have visited Gascoyne's place on a Sunday day visit in the beautiful city of Bath. We had a very nice Sunday roast meal. The starters of charcuterie and oven baked camembert was very nice again. The restaurant's atmosphere was very cosy and friendly. We'll be visiting again.

we enjoy coming here and have many enjoyable evenings as a family and as a couple. the food here is delicious hence why we return time and time again. my only disappointing factors about this restaurant is the tiny bar area where on a few occasions we have been left waiting for our table to become available. we were on... Booked a table for Friday 9th December as we were staying in Bath on our annual Christmas shopping trip. Even though it was busy we were shown to our table straight away in the Snug. Our waitress was fabulous and really looked after us. We chose a charcuterie board to start followed by pan fried chicken and pan fried fish... More

WIth few other options not requiring a kings ransom on New Year's eve we had a really good meal here. As some gastropubs tend to, the garnishes and stacking of food are trying a wee bit too hard, but I had a genuinely excellent plate of vension with mash. Good draft beer selection including the excellent Wiper and True. Cosy,... More

We have returned to Gascoyne Place several times but may not go back again. We like the close proximity to the Theatre Royal and the food is well presented and reliable although the menu for the fixed price menu lunch on that day was not very exciting. Plus points were: the food was good but it was a shame we... More

We weren't a Christmas party but celebrating my wife's birthday. We had a private room which felt like a company boardroom. Service was really good and the three courses beautifully presented and very tasty. Expectations exceeded.

I went with my wife and young daughter for lunch at Gascoyne Place. This is a very nice gastropub serving good food. It was quite busy. I liked the decor. It was modern yet cosy and charming. As with most eating places in Bath, you need to make a reservation - otherwise, you have to wait. For starters we ordered... More

We had an excellent meal at Gascoyne Place, the staff were very polite, helpful. Food was excellent. Would definitely visit again when in Bath. It is very close to the Theatre and the Royal Mineral Hospital, and also the Bus Stops
