Family wanted fish and chips and we booked in advance. Nice quant pub that is obviously significantly more trendy in the interio offering gasytro pub. Smallish menu with teh basics and I opeted for the hamburger as most things were a bit exotic for me...one of those trendy hambuger where the relish is home mad and a type of jam... More

In between Christmas and New Year trip and an excellent find. Good location and place with friendly staff. Good selection of fresh prepared meals with amazing ingredients. Only minus is upstairs we ate at 8:15 and were left isolated whilst watching kitchen staff clear up - request ground floor for a better atmosphere.

So today 4 of us (2 couples) went for lunch having pre-booked a table. Service was good, the menu selection was reasonable, a little on the pricier side but for a really good meal that's fine. We all had starters, at around £7 or £8 a starter the portions could have been a little better. For the main, bar the... More

We have ate here 3 times in the last 3 months, every time it has been lovely with the menu changing every time we've been, the food & service is excellent and a reasonable price to match it!

We were lucky enough to get a table for Christmas Eve. Had a delightful meal with a warm welcome and delicious food. Everything from food to service was of high standard. I especially liked that the menu was varied and so you could have more traditional pub fare or more a gastropub meal. Even the mulled wine was lovely, very... More

We went here for Boxing Day lunch - not always the easiest day for a good lunch experience, but it was booked well in advance. The food was great - it all came out at the same time in spite of us being a sizeable group, and was fresh, hot and lovely. The service however was rubbish. Our waitress was... More

This is really good pub food, it is not quite fine dining but isn't far off. My scallop starter was superb, the bottle of red fantastic and my friends steaks were brilliant. The puddings were a bit forgettable and the duck was a bit disappointing. I would return and anyone looking for excellent pub food will be very happy.

We booked and ordered in advance for Sunday lunch for our party of 11. Despite having pre-ordered and arriving on time for our 13:45 booking, the starters were not brought out until almost 14:30 with no apologies or explanation from the staff. We had also advised in advance that two of our group have severe mustard allergies and this had... More
