Have been craving it ever since! We're looking for a pub close to where we were staying - hotel recommended. Authentic, local atmosphere. Sweet, accommodating staff.

Dined here as a family for Sunday lunch. Excellent service and food. We all had the roast beef which was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables. We will return.

I have visited The Marlborough many times before and this time my girlfriend and i bought along some friends (Another couple) The Marlborough never ceases to amaze me. The food is always incredible and service is the best i have experienced in Bath. The food is delicious and you get quality for a good price, compared to most places in... More

We enjoyed a great Sunday lunch here last weekend. We live locally so popped in here in the hope they'd have a table. We were lucky to snap up the last one and ordered 2 roast pork bellys and drinks. The roasts were beautiful, with the level of attention to detail you'd expect from a home-made Sunday dinner. Great home-made... More

Having taken up the offer of a birthday free drink and pudding (along with starter and main-sign up to their mailing list) I was totally impressed with the Marlborough Tavern. We had a late sitting but it was still the best kind of busy, enough going on but not too crowded. The food was brilliant and the service was just... More

As a group of 4 50+ adults we booked a table at the Marlborough Tavern having already been impressed by one of their sister venues, the Hare & Hounds in Bath. This tavern is a serious step up in terms of the star quality of the food and presentation. Definitely a very serious gastro-pub all in a relaxed, friendly setting.... More

Very small menu, McDonalds style chips and a dry overcooked burger was what this place served up - it was very disappointing and very overpriced

I will preface this by saying I only had an appetizer and a beer, but the one appetizer that I had (Feta panna cota, olive tape Nader, basil pesto, cucumber & heritage tomato) was unbelievable. If the rest of the food is as good, this place is great. Beer was good as well, but the food puts this place a... More

It was our first time at The Marlborough Tavern (even though we've lived in Bath for 5 years!) and what a fantastic evening we had! We are a family of 4 - 2 kiddies aged 10 and 8 and we eat out often on a Friday evening! We arrived early evening to great, friendly service which continued throughout the evening.... More

Situated around the corner from The Royal Crescent, The Marlborough Tavern combines the atmosphere of a local pub with the quality of a top restaurant. Two AA rosettes, a horde of local & national awards plus inclusions in The Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide bear testimony to their consistent delivery of high quality cooking. They have a clear approach to food find the best and freshest ingredients and to create great tasting, essentially simple dishes where the quality of the produce speaks for itself. Married to that is a passion for inventiveness that sees the menu constantly changing. Food is essentially though not slavishly English in character and takes advantage of locally sourced produce wherever possible. The lunchtime menu features a range of lighter dishes and sharing plates plus some traditional pub classics - and the Sunday roasts are legendary. Their food reputation is matched by their service always friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They have an extensive wine list and selection of local ales, and they can mix a mean cocktail too. Outside they boast what is arguably Baths finest pub garden; a walled courtyard space, its perfect for summertime lunching and drinking.
