This is the brewery tap for the Kelham Island Brewery. A traditional pub which is well preserved with many of its original features still in place. We had a few pints of Pale Rider fabulous 🍺🍺

After a brief meeting in Sheffield we needed to have a quick lunch somewhere where it was dog Friendly. Located in Kelham Island, Sheffield The Fat Cat is an award winning real ale pub (in other words a proper pub). The steak pies with thick cut potatoes and pies is just £5.00 as are all the other pies on the... More

Last visited 33 years ago, it was an institution then, and still is now. Great pub if a little away from the city centre, although well worth the walk there. Small quirky bar, larger room to one side. Good selection of local ales and more national ones.

Step back in time in this traditional Victorian pub with some excellent ales and a friendly Sheffield welcome. Had a lovely Sunday roast here. Great place to stop after the Kelham Island Museum.

When in Sheffield, we often visit the Fat Cat because the beer is always excellent. On this visit we decided to eat. We knew it would be basic pub grub, but thought the burger with potato wedges would 'fill a corner'. It did - like a house brick!. The wedges looked like they had been cooked, frozen then reheated -... More

Finished the night off in this delightful pub. Great atmosphere and plenty of beer. Only down side to this pub is that there is only one toilet for ladies. Hence big queues. Not lady friendly. Other than that a delight!!

Thank thetwiglet
