We were somewhat nervous about trying this place after loving the menu of the previous owner. However, we should not have been. The starter of "Eggs and Solders" was divine. An egg pot with mushroom, egg and spinach, along with soldiers that were toasted with Gruyere. My goodness, it was awesome. For main, I had the Roast Beef. Perfectly cooked... More

Visited this pub after reading other reviews on trip advisor and we were very pleased that we did. We received a nice warm welcome and we were shown to our table straight away. Started with a glass of prosecco which was very nice followed by a lovely bottle of Marlborough. My husband and I both had the thai prawn/monkfish starter... More

Walked to the pub from Stanfrod Dingley, about 30 minutes and well worth it if perhaps a little bit more pricey food wise than you might expect. I guess the number of Porches, Aston Martins and Ferraris that went past when I was sat outside tells you all. Well patronised by people dining and this is probably more a food... More

We discovered a beautiful cottage garden behind the Bladebone, last Saturday at the end of a sunny day. The staff were a delight and very helpful. The aroma of freshly cooked mussels wafted over you as you entered the pub. We were not intending eating there, but caved as we reviewed the menu and saw the delicious plates of food... More

I booked a meal here for our wedding anniversary and it lived up to the high expectations that we had from our initial visit over a month ago. I have split this review into three in order to provide an accurate view of the things that are important to me when choosing somewhere to eat. so - FOOD: The food... More

Three of us went for dinner on a Saturday night and our friend is a local who says that the pub is normally a lot busier. Maybe it was a bit quitter because of the nice weather and the opening night of the Olympics. The layout and décor is really nice, appealing and welcoming, there has obviously been a lot... More

This was expensive for pub food, which I wouldn't mind paying if the service was good - which it wasn't. We felt totally ignored & because of this, we decided to just pay the bill and not bother with dessert. Shame!!

Very good meal. Lovely garden for drinks and cocktails before the meal. Very beautiful table and good service throughout the meal. Altogether a excellent lunch with all the family. Fully recommend it.

If you love food and great flavours, this is the place for you. Friendly and welcoming with a great charm this place suits families, friends and couples alike. We went with another family and had simply the best meal I have eaten in ages. Reminded me a lot of some great restaurants in Paris with such a great plate of... More
