Desperate for food after a long drive we stopped at the first pub on the way. It was unexpectedly great place! Very friendly staff, nice upscale food menu which we did not expect to see in the middle of nowhere. Food was delicious, beautiful modern presentation and great variety. Definitely recommend!

A friend and I ate here on Saturday.. Hands down the best steak I've eaten , as my friend also stated too . The food was beautifully cooked to perfection. The staff were equally great from the moment we walked through the door and very helpful . I definitely recommend this place and can't wait for my next visit.

I visited the bladebone yesterday with my husband and my parents- I don't usually leave reviews but I had such a lovely afternoon that I thought it was necessary! To start with we were greeted and made to feel very welcome by all of the staff. We were then looked after until we left by our waitress who was a... More

Six of us had lunch last Sunday and while the food was lovely, the choice for the two vegetarians amongst us was very limited. The waitresses were very sweet but the service was a bit chaotic. The pub is obviously a popular venue for people with young children and dogs, mostly well behaved on this occasion. I might go again... More

Opening night of The Bladebone Inn with new owners Richie and Charlotte Sanderson, Saturday 9th January 2016. I had a table booked for friends travelling from London and Wiltshire and myself so I was hoping the food and newly renovated pub would be great. And we weren't disappointed in the least. First impression was, “Wow!” as we drove along the... More

Our family (five in total) had dinner at the newly re-furnished Bladebone on Satruday night. The overall decor and ambience is good and a great improvement, the staff were young and plentiful and the choice of menu generally good but the starters were not well though. We passed on starters but had a nice selection of breads, our mains were... More

Lovely food, great service and I personally like the new look! Very friendly staff catered to our boisterous party. Can't fault a thing. Very happy my old workplace is back up and running!

We had a lovely dinner at the newly-refurbished Blade Bone last night. The restaurant was full, but the staff coped admirably and kept everyone happy. Highlights were the winelist - well-chosen, interesting and reasonable (but not cheap), and the main courses, particularly the braised beef and the plaice (a 'special'). The manageress was a breath of fresh air and we... More

After a long awaited refurbishment I had high hopes of my childhood local (and still that of my Mum) being 'the' place we could get together for birthdays etc.. Maybe I have been spoiled by living in the Midlands for 15 years but I really don't expect to pay £13 for a smalliish veggie main (mushroom strudel the size of... More
