Our local gastropub, always good. Atmosphere and service excellent. Efficient, happy staff. The mussels today were superb, full bodied and full of flavour, accompanied by the best chips, as they always are here, and a slice of toasted bread. We used to have the calamares always, but I prefer those of the previous supplier, which included the tentacle bits. They... More

Food was of a good standard for the price point, however my biggest area of comment was the service. My husband and I were eating with our 3 year old son and baby. On arrival we were pushed into possibly ordering an alcoholic drink - neither of us wanted one and were frowned at by the male waiter for this.... More

They have a captive audience as not much else around. The decor is warm and cosy toilets clean staff efficient but a little inexperience not very personable. Food instant mash microwave sausages Fish and chips batter was cooked in old fat. smell from kitchen whenlight up the kitchen for service was not enticing. my chips were presented in a messy... Met for Sunday lunch. Excellent attentive staff, very quick service, warm atmosphere. Will be eating here again. Only comments for improvement would be that coffee cups are too small, making even the decaf coffee quite strong and a few more veg included with a main meal, rather than as extras, would be appreciated. I had lamb shank which was stupendous,... More

We were keen to try Spring Inn and were not disappointed. Food and service both excellent. Alex the Manager and his young Australian waitresses, Lilly and McKenzie were all very friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. Because of walking difficulties I had asked for a ground floor table near the door and it was waiting for us when we arrived.... More

I was really looking forward to having dinner at The Spring Inn after seeing their amazing menu, and the food didn't disappoint. It was delicious. We were a group of 8 and we preordered the food as we were a larger group. When we arrived to the restaurant we were informed that they were out off sea bass. So the... More
