I've been at Moya with my family. We were quite unsure if the restaurant would meet our expectaion but it definitely exceeded them! We had a lovely warm soup for starters, then I had Goulash as main course which reminded me of my last trip to Slovakia. It was hot but not unbarable hot, you could actually taste everything which... Never had Slovak food before, but being Polish though it might be similar, so a safe bet. Wasn't disappointed, was actually pleasantly surprised, as the food in MOYA was delicious. We chose all vegetarian dishes and both starters and both mains were extremely tasty. Staff is very polite and attentive, without being overbearing. Will definitely go back next time I'm... More

It's an excellent place for dinner. The food is tasty and well seasoned. The portions are big and generally Moya offers a good value for money. The restaurant offers their own take on the Slovak food which is a bit different but offers a lot of choice when it comes to flovours. Although, it may not look too promising from... More

I pass this restaurant every day but never went in before this visit. It looks super low key from outside. The food was really nice -- I was even thinking about it the next day! The waiters and waitresses are very nice as well. Would definitely recommend it to my friends and take my family to visit again.

We much enjoyed our dinner at this smart little restaurant 5 minutes walk out of town from Magdalen College. We particularly enjoyed the Halusky (Slovak pasta) and sauerkraut starter and the Slovak fruit dumpling with poppy seed and butter sauce (for dessert). Good service and good value.

Somehow this place fell off our radar, but we really enjoyed it when we finally gave it a try. Hearty Central European style food, good, discrete service and good value. Adds a welcome variety to the food styles available in Oxford.

Offers a mixture of Slovak national dishes and other cuisines including vegetarian. This list is not extensive but to taste a cuisine from another country can be eye opening. The dishes I had included sauerkraut which can be bitter but this was not the case and was quite palatable. You must try the Slovak soup - its tasty, very very... More

Consistently excellent food (over 2 evenings we had sea bream, rabbit, goulash, and duck), friendly and helpful staff, and reasonable prices.

I have being going here since it first opened. With its iced glasses of slovakian beer, the best magarita in town, renowned for its ginger mojito,. and the food, devils toast battered prawns knelda smoked pork sauerkraut to die for. The friday evening regulars are an ecletic bohemian bunch. Richard and his staff are attentive, friendly and smiling. One of... More
