3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

But is very noisy we may have been unfortunate that we had a table of 3 loudly spoken people to the side of us and a large party of people in front of us with children who couldn't sit on their seats, so not the best of situations. I thought the menu very limited on choice of main courses, this... More

We had a really nice brunch today for affordable price. The interior is just amazing and the atmosphere really good. Service was good too but we wish to receive the drinks before the food. We would definitely come back Next time we stop by Oxford.

Great brunch on offer here and in a stunning setting. Service is excellent and staff are very professional and accommodating. Will return. If you're an Oxford local this is a great spot to bring guests. Prices are high but if you want food in a unique interior this is the perfect place!

I have been to Gee's quite a lot over the last 10 years and unfortunately the quality of food has declined. The food used to be high quality, but now it is ok at best.

We, my wife of fifty-six years, celebrated our continuous life together with a visit to The Ashmolean and delightful fixed price dinner of cod. Ollie our waiter was kind and so very solicitous. But don't call him Oliver. We will return for our "going away" from Oxford, parts of which are frozen in time.

Went to Gee's on Saturday night. Was allocated a nice tame in the window. Ordered a couple of small sharing starters which were delicious. My partner went for the lamb chop which was great as was my burger, it was small but that suited me. Service was very good. Overall after many years of not visiting Gee' i was very... More

The setting is just beautiful - a beautifully lit glass house conservatory with lots of plants. It's clever that in the evening they can put an awning over the outside tables to bring them inside. It's a really beautiful place and there were quite a few families there with young children. There were seven of us in our group. We... More

Had dinner here on Saturday night. The conservatory is beautiful and we were looking forward to excellent food. I ordered the steak which was very tasty. My partner ordered the risotto which unfortunately had a hair in it, but the staff were extremely apologetic and immediately replaced and removed it from the bill. The risotto was okay but a bit... The restaurant is in a beautiful conservatory and the décor is impeccable which I believe is the reason Gees's gets away with expensive dishes that are mediocre at best. The bream was soaked in olive oil and was accompanied by an inedible overcooked onion cut in half. My fiancé had the beef burger which was standard with fries that were... More

Dear Lucia G, Having been inundated with positive reviews over the last few months, it is surprising to read that you were disappointed with your experience at Gee's. Given that you left a two star review, this seems rather low, based on the food alone. We would love to hear what you thought about the service when you visited us.... More

We visit Oxford regularly and had wanted to eat here for a while so we were really looking forward to our anniversary meal here on Friday night. Description
Our 2013 transformation remains loyal to Gee’s traditions of providing quality food & service in the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford. Whether flooded with mid-morning sunlight or under Oxford’s evening sky, Gee’s is the place to enjoy exceptional food in unique surroundings. The tables on the outdoor terrace are surrounded by the dense foliage of topiary & potted plants – & if you like the plants, some are available for sale. The new interior is filled with trees, new furniture, soft colours & lighting.Of course the important aspect of the new Gee’s is the cooking. A brand new kitchen incorporates a wood fired oven & a charcoal grill; food acknowledges the continued interest in the origin of ingredients, seasonality & the variety & abundance of local Oxfordshire produce.Gee’s remains the place in Oxford to enjoy a fabulous meal. There are dishes for sharing & dishes in two sizes to suit different appetites & times of the day. Expect great food to suit every occasion, served by knowledgeable & friendly waiters, in this beautiful, iconic glasshouse in North Oxford.
