The food was lovely, beautiful flavours and really well cooked. The scallop and duck dishes were really really good. Well priced

Delicious food, great service, nice location. It is not very cheap but offers lunch menu that is excellent value for money. A great place for special occassions in Jericho neighbourhood, business lunches and romantic evenings.

My guests and I enjoyed an evening meal yesterday (4 guests: 2 starters, 4 mains, 3 desserts, 1 hot beverage, no wine) for the very reasonable charge of £28 per head. The food is satisfying and tasty. The front room of the restaurant overlooking Walton Street is a very pleasing room but the noise level can become a little difficult... More

The restaurant is is a bright welcoming space, nice natural decor. The service was faultless. My cheese souffle starter was great, my husband was a bit disappointed with his charcuterie plate as it was just one type of salami when a selection would have been preferable. I had the steak tartare, I don't know why it had chopped hard boiled... More

This well appointed restaurant is in the trendy Jericho area of Oxford. I met a business colleague here for supper but needed to do some work on my laptop before she arrived. I got a very sniffy response from the aloof and uncommunicative manager to my simple question about wifi! And I was then put on a table at the... More

Excellent meals were had by all three old friends; the stock appetisers and starters were great, especially the trempettes. The steak tartare and squid stood out and all starters looked delicious. The chateaubriand was, and always is, a real winner here. Classic food and cooking done perfectly is what you get. We drank the Durfort-Vivens 2012, deuxieme cru classé, and... More

Dear Murphox, Thank you very much for taking time to write such a fantastic review. Our Steak Tartare 'Mason' is proving popular and the Chateaubriand to share is just to die for. Of course you chose the gorgeous bottle of Margaux to accompany all of this delicious food. Your comment regarding our service also made the team very happy. We... More

Unimaginative, safe and expensive. The quality of ingredients is obviously high but the dishes lack passion and portions are small. My 'Spicy Chilli and Ginger Squid' starter consisted of one small square of seared squid on a bed of vaguely squid-shaped sautéed aubergine and courgette, but had no discernible hint of either chilli or ginger. When mentioned to the waiter,... More

Dear Restaurantcritic_99, Thank you for your feedback. I am so disappointed to hear you thought our food was unimaginative and expensive - this is not the kind of feedback we normally receive. Our chef were saddened to read that you thought our dishes lack passion as they work really hard and put so much effort in creating each dish. I... More

My brother treated me to lunch here (his boss is Raymond Blanc himself!) and the food was typically excellent. Great service and food arrived quickly and immaculately presented. I can't really comment on the price as...errr....well we got a good deal, but otherwise I would've been broke due to the amount we ordered!

Stopped in Oxford on the way to Cornwall and booked in here for the wife's birthday. Super place, love Raymond Blancs cooking and was prepared to pay top dollar for his high street fare, however what a surprise the food prices were very reasonable and being a sunday we benefited from the set Roast menu which was really good value.... Description
This was our first Brasserie Blanc which opened over 18 years ago when Raymond Blanc was just a boy! Now with a truly beautiful new look, we are open every day from breakfast right through to dinner, and everything in between.

We love it here in the heart of the Jericho area of Oxford where we serve real French food in our relaxed and welcoming, light filled space. The restaurant is always buzzing with our many regulars, new faces and the many tourists visiting this charming part of the city. Ask about our private dining room if you have a special occasion in mind or if you want a meeting space with great French coffee on tap.
