The man behind the counter seemed completely confused by our order, which wasn't even complicated: 2 milkshakes and 2 identical breakfasts. When the food came out it was average to say the least. 1 undercooked beef sausage, an egg so perfectly round it looked like it had been mass-produced and mediocre French toast. I asked for brown sauce and had... More

Best coffee in town. Good range of mid-morning snacks available. Excellent breakfasts for the big appetite. Free wifi and lots of elbow-room. Perhaps too long a wait at the counter if someone is there before you ordering a complex coffee. But the guy in the kitchen is a maestro.

I challenge you to somewhere with a better combination of French toast, strawberry and Nutella. This coupled with a Oreo milkshake is just pure liquid happiness! It does get busy though so make sure you try and go earlier before all the irritating students arrive! The only comments I have are that it would be good if there were menus... More

Clogged with tables and chairs which don't fit under the tables. Barista guy has no idea how to make many of the drinks on the menu and was utterly confounded at the idea of having cream on hot chocolate -- he tried to dollop in ice cream after asking me several times what I meant.

I love the atmosphere in this café; it's perfect for studying, and the excellent coffees, hot chocolate, tray bakes and macaroons only add to the attraction! Service can be a little slow, but it's a great place to spend an hour or two when you aren't in a rush.

Love this place, love the food, but it's not the place to go if you need a fast meal. We went in for breakfast, and despite there being no one else in the cafe and telling the guy we had a train to catch in an hour we were still left waiting 20 minutes for crepes. He was very apologetic... More

Nice café down Cowley Road, great for a coffee breakfast with a few pastries or to hang out with friends. It's also a good place for studying or working on an essay, with motivation in the form of food!

I really fancy a traditional breakfast - and thats what the blackboard says outside Rick's which used to be a really tasty cafe! Has it changed hands? After 35 minutes by breakfast turned up - beef sausages and no bacon and a really low-quality version of HP sauce and beans that definitely weren't Heinz. The orange juice was that over-synthesised... More
