A cosy bar, offering a poor range of ales, adequate service, no pub atmosphere and a Thai restaurant -just what I wasn't wanting on my first daytime visit to the city in a number of years -thoroughly disappointed.

Have visited The Old Tom Pub several times and have enjoyed every visit! The staff are always friendly and chatty. A proper English pub with character. Good range of drink at the bar too!

The Old Tom never ceases to amaze me. Though it looks like an average and regular pun from the outside, this hidden exotic Thai restaurant owns and exceptional curry menu (one better that the other) Excellent service Outstanding food Great beers Brilliant garden in the heart of city centre

I have been to the old Tom twice now and it is lovely!! It's well priced £20 for two curries and a drink! I had the panang curry and it was fantastic! It was very filling so I was happy! The staff are very friendly and I will definitely be coming back for more!!

Although rather small, we had a very enjoyable meal. Good selection of vegetarian food too. It is very reasonably priced and an ample amount. For starters, we enjoyed vegetable tempura and spring rolls. They were light without excessive batter or oil! We had seafood noodles and duck with noodles. The meat was tender and the mussels in the seafood were... More

From the outside this is a small, local pub. In the back, they've hidden a decent, sensibly priced Thai restaurant. The food was mostly authentic and surprisingly cheap. I appreciated being able to have a decent ale alongside it. As a pub, the selection of beer is alright (if a little expensive) but there isn't much space to sit. I... More

So - last time I went in here many years ago it was just a pub. As you walk in it looks exactly the same as it did back in 2008 - but the food is phenomenal. I love Thai food but my other half is a great chef so I am often disappointed when I eat out as the... More

First of all can I just mention that my visits here never involve eating at the Thai restaurant- I tend to visit for a drink whilst waiting for a bus change. I am sure the food is good- I witness many happy diners during my brief visits. My review is on the pub part of the establishment which is small... More

Lovely proper Thai level of Green Curry......not the English homogenised version.....the English bit is the traditional pub! Fast service with a smile.

Stopped here for a drink on the way to the cinema. Perfectly decent and no reason not to go again. There is a Thai restaurant in the back but we didn't try it.
