Just called in on the off chance of having a quick lunch snack. Excellent value for money and fast service with a smile. I don't know why the place was so quiet! I will definitely go again next time the other half wants to go shopping in Oxford.

A very pleasant traditional back street drinkers pub close to the Gallery of Modern Art which is actually not that far from the madness of Queen Street and Cornmarket Street but far enough to avoid it being blighted by the tourist hordes. It benefits from a good internal layout with a large tiled area for vertical drinking in front of... More

We popped in for refreshments while wandering around Oxford on a very hot day and were delighted to find the pub was air conditioned. There was a good selection of real ales and though we didn't eat there, rather wish we'd found it in time for lunch. I can't speak for the quality but sandwiches and salads here were half... More

Desperate to get out of the heat and found this air conditioned pub whilst walking thru Oxford. Traditional pub with wide selection of beers. Excellent service

Great beer, lovely pub, tasty food. Bonus points for the landlord having exception taste in bright coloured shirts and playing The Levellers during our visit. Brilliant little pub.

Great food close to the heart of the city. We were looking for somewhere good to eat and stumbled on this great venue when wandering around the city. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat about the pub and the city. It's got a traditional british pub decor and vibe.

We have been in England for 8 days and have yet to find a place as good of a deal as this. Best price for great food and beer! And such an amazing atmosphere! Would highly recommend the cheesy chips!

This feels like a local pub and has an excellent range of beers. Just off the beaten track but easy to find.

This is a lovely pub for the real ale drinker, a good range of beers from small breweries and pleasant surroundings to drink them in. Nice to see it hasn't had all its character removed by a big pub co. like so many city centre pubs now do.

This pub is the brewery tap of The White Horse Brewery which is located just outside Oxford. During several visits over the weekend there were three or four of their ales on cask. My favourites are their zesty session Bitter at £2.95 a pint and the slightly stronger Village Idiot at about £3.30 a pint. Service was prompt and generally... More

We are a traditional street corner pub from the Victorian era. Inside we have 10 handpulls serving a wide range of well kept local and regional beers, including the White Horse Brewery (Oxfordshire) for which the Royal Blenheim is the brewery tap - the only one of its kind in the city Oxford. With BT Sport available on up to four screens we will be showing a variety of sports with a focus on rugby...possibly the best place in Oxford for a rugger get together! We have a Facebook page which we would encourage you to 'like' as that is one of the best ways of staying up to date on what we have going on here. We believe in making and cooking proper homemade food with a focus on fresh ingredients, mostly sourced from the Covered Market and other local suppliers. Our menus will be seasonal with an aim to use 'in season' ingredients to create simple yet wholesome dishes. As well as a weekly Wednesday Quiz Night (come early to get a a table) we hope to stage regular Open Mic nights as a showcase for local musicians of all styles and levels...If that's you please get in touch with us, thanks.
