Used a Groupon voucher to visit the restaurant on a Friday. Starter, main and a glass of prosecco for two at £35. We were more than satisfied with the service. We added wine, dessert and coffee but the bill was still very reasonable. Staff very attentive and polite. The view from the terrace on a summer evening was lovely. The... More

I booked for my husband's birthday, following a recommendation. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The dining room looked lovely, we were greeted promptly, and as we were early, we asked if we could have a drink on the rooftop terrace before our meal inside. We were shown to a table on the terrace and were offered complimentary... More

This is more than a museum tea room. It's a well designed and comfortable roof top terrace restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Clean lines edged with beautifully kept floral boarders. We stopped for a light lunch. Butternut soup, olives and bean smacks, fine cold meats with fresh bread. Good choice of soft drinks (there is wine etc. too). This... More

I had tea with friends after visiting the Museum. The service was excellent, the staff being particularly helpful with advice re special diet concerns. Cakes and tea excellent.

We visited for the view and were slightly disappointed! Deck chair seating was casual and relaxing- drinks were tasty, although they didn't have all of the ingredients to make the gin cocktail I fancied. The roof top itself is lovely, and if you like a few roofs then the view is too! There are better places to go for a... More

Right in the centre of Oxford and at the top of one of the world's great museums. The food is modern, light, and inventive. The space is wonderfully open, especially on a sunny, warm day. The service was friendly and prompt (thanks to Andrea), but we were left to talk as long as we liked.

We went here on a busy July Saturday evening after failing to get a table at several other places we'd tried whilst walking in the evening as we hadn't booked and evidently good places are busy. In retrospect this was out good fortune as we hadn't thought of the museum restaurant as a dinner venue. It is however a very... More

Visited last night with my wife following the cancellation of my table at Ollies . It's a great place for a meal and luckily whilst we sat on the roof terrace we were out of the wind that affected most of the other tables . The charcuterie sharing platter was massive and great value . The mains were excellent and... More
