Not ideal having to cross a busy road to get to the breakfast venue. Good job it wasn't raining when we visited. It was rather busy & the procedure for breakfast was not too clear so muddled our way around to find things like the juice & tea bags etc. Quite a nice quirky place - a student 's favourite I... Have recently dropped in three times with a friend for a hot drink. Whilst not exactly an an alternative venue, it is different from the run of the mill coffee places, very mildly offbeat. We did not have a meal but the plates of those who were eating looked good. Friendly staff who allow one to linger, prices a little... More

Discovered this was the place residents at royal oxford hotel guests had breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not great variety. Endless cups of coffee and tea was good

I love this place! The friendly staff and great atmosphere make it a perfect spot to meet up with friends for a meal or a drink. Great music and works of art are displayed all around the spacious and luminous rooms. Close to the station and not far from town, it's well worth a visit.

I visited Oxford with a friend. She had not been there since the 1960's and I for a least 20 years and we wandered around the main streets in despair that every single shop, cafe, restaurant was a chain. Not one family run Oxford establishment could we find. Disappointed we went back to the car park and there spied this... More

The place was recommended as good - and near the station - which was very practical for us that day. We chose fish and heritage potatoes - fairly simple I would think. The fish still had the fins down the sides - so bones galore and both potatoes and fish were cold. Very sad and for the cost - BAD.

We ordered a a burger and a squash vegetarian meal. My husband's burger was still quite red and my squash dish cost £14. For this I got half a butternut squash filled with pesto, some red sauce and some goats cheese on top. The dish had no particular interesting flavour. The sald leaves scattered on the plate had wilted by... More

We attended a private (wedding) party at The jam factory. Great atmosphere, plenty of guests though enough room not to feel overcrowded, good service by the staff. Music and band in one area, drinks etc in another, food etc another. All in all a very good spot.

The Jam Factory is a very interesting concept and the space has huge potential, with its history, lovely natural light and great art gallery. That said, the service borders on unfriendly and the food is expensive and underwhelming. It needs a serious rethink!
