Having been summarily dismissed without leave to petition from an establishment in turl Street, fainting with thirst and hunger, gratefully served at what must be Oxford only unspoilt eatery from the 70s, long live the Nosebag! With green studio pottery, muesli with yoghurt, Cream teas with super scones, garlic bread, mozzarella salad and lamb stew ; 1/2 litre of wine... More

Food served direct from the kitchen as you queue to pay - no waiters running around here. Fair price paid for good food (plenty of it too).

I came here with a friend who had been before, I am not sure I would have entered had I been on my own but I am so pleased I did. You enter up a steep flight of wooden stairs, into a small holding area with glass cabinets full of food, the serving staff are behind these cabinets and the... More

Gorgeous little place unchanged since the 60's, they do fresh salads, vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as meat dishes. They have homemade cakes and quiches, and coffees of course, as well as beers, cider and wines! A great place to try out!

Delicious food, good choice of hot and cold dishes (I had Morrocan lamb which wasn't too spicy) or salads, desserts as well, drinks, reasonably priced. I was shown list of ingredients as I need to avoid certain ones. Calming music in the background. It wasn't too crowded but have been there when busy in the past. Has a rustic feel.... More

Four of us visited this little hide away cafe last weekend for lunch while we took in the sights. It is basic but clean decor with kind of country feel to it. The choice on offer was good. I enjoyed my salmon quiche and my friends enjoyed their various salads. The highlight for me was their cake selection. We all... More

among all the chains the Nosebag may seem like an authentic, honest choice, but what it is, is mediocre and overpriced. Staff are bored and surly. Salads oily and oddly sweet. Quite expensive for what is effectively a greasy spoon

Huge offer of salads and vegs, but not sure it does classify as a healthy place. Lots of mayo almost in each veg and oil and so on... But teasy, that's sure!
