Great menu served well at lunch or dinner. Depending on your choice this is top quality pub grub or great value evening dinner. Friendly staff and everything organised as it should be.

We have been at the cherry for the second time as the first time food wasn't too bad,but the second time everything was different in worse,we choosed the crayfish cocktail wich it was full of paprika, old salad and no crayfish test and as main courses we both had the fishcake bouride, wrong choice as the fishcake was overcooked and dry and... Dear Reviewer, Your comments about your recent trip to The Cherry Tree Inn warrant a response for two reasons. Firstly, we are sorry to hear that on your second visit to the pub we weren’t achieving your level of acceptance. That said, we feel the need to clarify a few discrepancies in your recounting of your visit. Our team (both... More

Myself and my husband stayed here on 17 th June. We had a warm welcome and showed to our room. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you needed, the room was very warm but we are ( northerners ! ) we aren't used to warm weather in June. The food was excellent, the staff did look under a... More

We were travelling from Bristol to London and wanted a stopover in the countryside. This quaint little pub has 4 rooms in an outbuilding that are quite basic but do have everything you need-a good shower, comfy bed, towels, toiletries and TV. There isn't any WiFi or phone or internet signal so be prepared to be cut off. The pub... More

As organiser of a group of twenty five members of a motoring club, I feel that Nick, Lee and the rest of the great team should be given a "high five" for the efficient and friendly service we received yesterday. This was a large group which they handled without fuss and bother. The positive feedback from all the members, without... More

Booked for lunch today, not a great start as we were left standing while other people who came in after us got seen to first, but that was where it ended, the service was excellent, northern Irish guy, very friendly and helpful, the roast beef was awesome, he recommended, the portions were massive sadly no room for dessert😢 But they... Great efforts have obviously been made to bring the standard up to that of their faultless sister pub in Henley, but there is still a surprising disconnect in the service. A very shouty man who refers to everyone endlessly as 'Guys' simply made for an unpleasant atmosphere, despite the rest of the staff being charming, and the food really quite... More

Been on multiple occasions, consistently good food, occasionally excellent. Good value. Staff have always been helpful and considerate. Great reliable place for an impromptu pub meal at lunch time or in the evening.

A great evening with really good food and entertaining staff and well kept Brakspears beer. Old pub with open fire very free and easy, we started in restaurant and finished off with cheese and biscuits in front of the fire in the bar.

Description
Idyllically nestled in the Chiltern Hills amongst some of the most beautiful beech woods in England, sits this most pretty and picturesque English country pub with rooms. The Cherry Tree Inn is a 500 year old brick and flint building that was formerly 3 cottages. Now, a thriving, bustling quintessential English country pub and inn, it has had a huge lease of life since its new owners gave it a makeover in February 2012. Whilst keeping its gorgeous traditional interior, with original flagstone floors, heavy beams and low ceilings, they have also brought it right up to the 20th century with innovative design, interiors, colours and overall excellent service. The rooms are set in a lovely barn conversion next to the pub and with its four ensuite AA 4* letting rooms with king size beds and clean, crisp linens, it's perfect for both private or corporate needs. Breakfasts are hearty and guests are assured of a peaceful nights sleep in beautiful surroundings. The food is right up there with some of the best in the area. Modern British classics, meets some favourite European treats and all food is cooked fresh, to order and using only the freshest, where possible local ingredients from both local suppliers and some of the many estates producing some outstanding meats. The wine list is pretty healthy too, with Bury Brothers & Rudd supplying a lot of their wines. Likewise, they have a great selection of champagnes, the beer is very well kept with mainly the local Brakspears on tap and a good selection bottled beers, spirits and liqueurs. Just 6 miles west of glorious Henley on Thames and surrounded by some of the best walking, cycling and riding territory you'll find, it's firmly on the 'Destination Pub' radar, as well as being loved and supported by the local area.
