Nice setting just on the Remenham side of Henley. Traditional pub with large food offering. The pub is good with nooks and a good range of drinks - Brakspear of course, lots of wines by the glass. The restaurant is large with a slight gastro...More

What an ideal place for a lazy catch-up lunch! We weren't rushed, the staff were super friendly, organized and knowledgeable. We had a lactose intolerant person in our party who was easily and effortlessly catered for. The food was as good as it's been on...More

A vibrant atmosphere- excellent menu and superb service. Considering how busy it was quick as well. Duck parfait to die for and pork belly and black pudding (not everyone's choice I agree) was brilliant. A decent wine list as well. £55 for two (no dessert)...More

Good food, served well, polite and helpful staff. Has an attempt to a rustic feel, but looks like a larger 60's cafe in areas. Enjoyable ambience. Old curtains on some tables, dirty ceilings, cobwebs, dusty lamp shades are the off putting points.

We visited this fantastic eatery and ale house for the first time this year. As per usual, there was a warm welcome and we were shown to a table of our liking. Our friends had not been here before, one is Celiac, so we asked...More

I mostly chose the Little Angel because it had private parking, and was described as 'vegetarian friendly'. Decor was casual and quirky, although it did get very hot in the conservatory. Waitress was friendly. Food was DELICIOUS (I ordered the haddock) but not as much...More

About 20 of us met for Sunday lunch before a family event last month. We ordered our meals in advance. The staff could not have been more helpful, and meals were delivered in good order, which was essential as we were under time pressure. The...More

Took friends here on spec, prior to a walk along the river. There is plenty of parking right outside the pub, which is a stones throw from the busier central Henley area. Between us we had various dishes. The sharing fish platter was great, and...More

The Little Angel is all things to all people. It is a historic, perfectly placed pub and eating house at the foot of Remenham Lane, just before you go over Henley bridge into Henley on Thames. With a large car park, a reputation for great service, food and ambience, this pub is the busiest in the area and deservedly is on most itineraries of anyone visiting Henley on Thames. From the outside, it looks a quaint little pub but enter its hallowed doorway and you will find the most unique, beautifully designed space, with space being a key word. They can seat over 100 without a problem and can hold private functions for over 350 standing. Weddings, corporate functions, you name it, they can do it. They have a superb, professional and friendly team that can assist with most requests. Food is seasonal, fresh, cooked to order and with quarterly changing A la Carte and daily delicious specials, this pub is patronised all year round for lunch, dinner, drinks at their large and buzzy bar or when weather shows some joy, in their large, patioed garden that looks onto the quintessential Henley Cricket Club playing grounds. Jugs of Pimms, Pitchers of beer sit comfortably alongside ice buckets full of champagne and provence rose. If you haven't been to Henley or to The Little Angel, it is well worth a visit. The historic River Thames is just 100 yards away. Walk to it, from it or drive, as you wish but do GO!
