First time visitor to this charming restaurant, even though we've lived around here for years. What a treat, discreet and friendly service in a pretty little restaurant. So far so good, but the real treat was the food! As good as rumoured, not silly prices like some other local 'gastro' pubs with pretentions. All in all a real treat, definitely... More

This is a foodies paradise. It is not over crowded but it is alive. There are beautiful fireplaces inside a quaint cottage. They have mastered the art of quaint with special attention paid to details! Indulge in the charcuterie boards, they are stocked with cured hams and local cheeses.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. Service was excellent and the food devine we didnt want it to end. Attention to detail was impecable. This restaurant deserves a 3rd AA Rosette for sure. Would highly recommend to book a table as it was fully booked on a Tuesday.

A warm & friendly reception from Sally the owner - taken up to my room, which was lovely - everything you could need for a relaxed stay - room small but clean, decoration very good - a real 'homely' feel. Breakfast was continental which isn't usually a favourite of mine when I'm staying away but again, lovely selection and I'm... More

This is a real gem. If you are staying in or near the area, please make sure you visit this restaurant. You are guaranteed the friendliest of welcomes and first class service. The restaurant is small but that adds to its charm. We were given a selection of homemade breads, all of which were absolutely delicious with ingredients such as... More

Our b&b host booked this lovely little restaurant for us,and we were not disappointed! Friendly helpful wait staff, well measured service. We did not feel rushed. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, and excellent flavour. It was certainly busy the night we were there(a Tuesday ) ,so booking would be recommended. It was our last night in England ,so fitting that... More

Wonderful food ...a treat but not so expensive compared to other restaurants locally. The menu is very enticing...food you don't cook at home so feels special. Everything locally sourced...amazing puddings.

This little restaurant never fails to impress. A cut above many of its competitors, in terms of both food and service, which always comes with a personal touch. Make sure you book ahead at weekends, and try their home made breads!

The menu is inventive and changes on a regular basis to include produce that is in season, this is a very small restaurant maybe 18 covers so best to book in advance.

My wife and I ate here this evening. Soup and Pigeon were great for starters, Beef and Turbot were great for mains. I felt the chocolate sharer was somewhat lacking of the wow factor the previous two dishes had delivered. Would visit again but would have a different dessert..
