The menu is inventive and changes on a regular basis to include produce that is in season, this is a very small restaurant maybe 18 covers so best to book in advance.

My wife and I ate here this evening. Soup and Pigeon were great for starters, Beef and Turbot were great for mains. I felt the chocolate sharer was somewhat lacking of the wow factor the previous two dishes had delivered. Would visit again but would have a different dessert..

I booked this as a last minute Friday lunch anniversary meal. When we arrived we were the only couple there. Sally served us wine and offered us a choice of 2 menus, July menu and the summer menu. She was happy to chat and held front of house perfectly. The restaurant is small and would be very intimate if full.... More

We made a reservation with 8 friends and we had a superb table in a more or less separate corner of the restaurant. Perfect for us, perfect to other guests! The food was absolutly outstanding. I had the "ris d'agneau as starter and the epaule d'agneau as main dish; decilicious! The great Primitivo Zensa made the dinner an absolute pleasure.... More

The meal we had here was one of the best we had in our 2 week stay in England. We had the fixed price 3 course menu at around 37 pounds per person. There was a great selection of dishes and everything was beautifully cooked, with my favourite being the poached turbot with a shellfish ravioli. I wish I had... More

This is a review of the rooms and not a review of the food. The rooms here are a delight and very quirky. Exceptionally clean and tidy with great little touches like real milk and homemade biscuits. Small but perfect bathroom and again super clean with super soft towels and robes! A very good continental breakfast was warmly welcomed. A... More

A small restaurant serving beautifully prepared and presented food (father) with service that struck just the right balance between professional and friendly (mother) and entertainment at breakfast ! ( pre school daughter). Whether you are serious about food and wine or are just looking for a relaxed meal this is a must. If there was a downside it was that... More

In the centre of Chipping Norton, this restaurant serves fine food made from first class ingredients. In a delightful 400 year old building, the intimate space and friendly service make a very attractive atmosphere. The cooking is top quality, the lamb and pork dishes both highly recommended on their Summer menu. The prices are very reasonable for this level of... More

Went for special celebration meal and again not disappointed. We ate from the more extensive Summer menu, eating three courses for £37.50 which is quite reasonable for the Cotswolds. Delightful ambience: different waitress but same helpful cheerful service. Restaurant full, somewhat to our surprise as visited midweek, so service was perhaps a bit leisurely. However, all the food, from the... More

We had already heard great things about this little place so we decided we would give it a go for a weekend dinner treat as a couple. On arrival we were greeted, shown to our table (small room with just a few places to sit but ambience suited it). immediately served water and olives and then left to look over... More
