Had lunch in the gardens, on a nice sunny day. Good food if a little over priced. Would visit again but probably only for drinks.

We decided to go to the The Lamb for our Wedding Anniversary, it's within walking distance for us, which is good. We sat In the bar, which was quite quaint, seats abit too hard and I kept thinking I was going to fall off, lol. Our meals took a little bit of time to come, so much so that we... More

It was interesting ( post EU referendum) that all the staff were not British and the service was very good. There was a good choice of food , a lot of which were a bit like " pub grub" but also some specials that were more unusual and a very good standard. We went as a group of 4 and... More

Second visit for Sunday lunch and another wonderful experience. Beautifully cooked food, nuanced and attentive service and an attractive and relaxing dining room. Every little thing was spot on. Recommended without hesitation. My Mum lives in Burford and ate recently at the highly-rated Angel, however she strongly prefered the Lamb for its tasty and well prepared food.

The Lamb Inn is tastefully decorated and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu has a good selections and there is a specials board offering some interesting and tasty dishes. Food is well priced and attractively presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. All in all, a good dining option in Burford.

A beautiful beer garden but decidedly disappointing food. Fish and chips - how bad can it be? Undercooked oven chips, tasteless batter and dry peas. 1* at best. Steak and ale pie? Plenty of meat (normally a good thing) but zero gravey and a wafer thin pastry top, and again undercooked potatoes. And none of a cheap. Stick to drinks... More

We visited the Lamb Restaurant for lunch with a group of five couples. This is a tradition English Pub/Inn in beautiful condition, located just off the main street in Burford. A quite respite. We dined in a rear dining area that had been renovated and was very light and attractive. Lunch was excellent! A garden soup and fish and chips.... More

As we approached the village we parked the car and walked straight in. The outside is very inviting and the bar inside is cosy, spacious and warm. It feels like a pub but it is a restaurant with bar. We ordered what was on the board. My wife had chicken breast with truffle and I had a pie. The Transylvanian... More

Stopped for lunch on a walk about; it is a classic stone pub but provides excellent food from a varied menu. We opted for sharing boards but I suggest you go for individual boards which are worth it for a few pennies more. There was an excellent selection of beer/drinks available and weather permitting do sit in the court yard.... More
