We had our wedding celebration meal here in October 2015 and it was very good, fantastic food and attentive service. Pleased to say that we went back this October and still very good - they even remembered it was our wedding anniversary and gave a complimentary pudding - lovely personal touch and very much appreciated. Will be back next year

I was in town for a show and decided to try The Larder for a pre theatre meal. (I had been once before and sampled a la carte, and thought it very good) Oddly the restaurant did not open at the advertised time, a member of staff arrived, made a phonecall, and the door was eventually opened, about ten minutes... Lovely building with views out over the street below, the pre theatre menu is a bargain with several quality modern twists on British classics at a very reasonable price.

Visited with friends and loved the food and atmosphere of the place - it's good value and in a great location, offering something a little more special than most of the chain restaurants in the surrounding area.

We had wanted to visit this restaurant for ages so had been looking forward to our meal. The food was really nice - good ingredients and well cooked but.... we had booked but had to wait 20 minutes for 'our' table - the restaurant was only half full and there were plenty of empty tables we could have been offered.... We visited the restaurant as a party of 4, two of whom were vegetarians. The ambience is airy and has an eclectic/colonial loft feel on the first floor overlooking the streets. Excellent food and wine, three courses with a bottle of wine and coffees around £150.

After my daughter's graduation we went here for an early evening dinner. It was a perfect choice. Staff very attentive. Great menu and good value for money. Will visit again no question.

Whilst the restaurant environment is beautiful and the service good. The food was not up to scratch to match with its surroundings. I ordered a Fregula (type of pasta), it was presented lukewarm and tasteless. I dined with my son and on leaving the restaurant he informed me his sea bass was also cold, also tasteless. The first thing I... More

A fairly small venue with good space for each table. Good selection of food with a twist. Well presented dishes and good discreet service. Price a little above average but worth it.

This was our second visit and this time it was disappointing, while the food was off the usual interesting varied menu the chips and sauce for our steaks were so over salted we both left them, if not for that the meal would have been excellent, the service was originally helpful friendly and they went to great lengths to explain... Opened in 2006, The Larder is located in the Grade II listed Victorian building that was once home to the apothecary shop that went on to become the pharmaceutical giant Boot's. The house style is an emphasis on simplicity & quality of cooking, with a menu that changes daily to take advantage of seasonal ingredients. Service is knowledgeable yet relaxed & unpretentious.
