We came to the Larder for a Friday lunch and we're somewhat surprised to fine we were the only people booked in. After three courses of their prix fixé lunch menu, I was even more surprised that half of Nottingham wasn't queuing to get in. The meal was excellent value for money and the chocolate desert was perfectly balanced between... More

First time and was not disappointed. The food was excellent. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely attentive staff. A perfect evening. Plenty to choose from for a Coeliac. 😉

Was very looking forward to it for Valentines, especially with its Micheline rated reputation. Set meal was ~ £40 pp, even though on a normal day the courses would have been less than that so we expected more on that night. Firstly, we rang earlier that day to confirm the time of booking, they were unable to confirm the time... More

Went with a friend to celebrate her birthday Saturday lunchtime. We were the first to be seated at 1pm and it was a little cold but the waitress assured us the heating was coming on - it did take a while to warm up but it is an old building so that's not really the staffs fault Tea was served... Carefully chosen for a special family meal for a graduation, surprising location with historical twist. Nice place, nice atmosphere, super menu and food. Very impressed with everything but such a long wait....before meal....between courses.....stressful when on a schedule! Annoying actually since we preordered our food for the special occasion.

I wanted to take my girlfriend for a romantic anniversary dinner which matched my love for her and found that Larder seamlessly combines sophisticated food with a relaxed atmosphere. My pork scrumpet came out with a tangy chilli pineapple punch and soft boiled quails eggs. My partner chose the Salmon which as I remembered it was a tasty, clean and... More

Christmas dinner with a party of friends on a Friday night proved a great success - some of the party had not been before and were very impressed. A warm welcome on a busy night and soon made at ease with our pre-orders on the place cards, very efficient. Food was well presented and tasty, portion size good. Our wine... More
