I lived in Nottingham for 4 months in 2015 and this was by far my favorite cafe. This cafe is a little hidden gem that you wouldn't notice unless you went looking for it, which I think just adds to its appeal. The cafe is behind an alley that has a small opening into the main street, giving it that... More

I went along to Alley Cafe this morning to have brunch with my partner. I asked for the Alley Cafe breakfast, and was told there was no tofu, so I asked for the tempeh burger, and was told there was no tempeh, and then asked for the pizza, and was told there was no cheese. The person serving me could... More

My daughter was looking forward to going to this vegetarian restaurant so booked a table when I visited her. Ordered the full veggie breakfast and there was no gluten free bread. It took 30 minutes to arrive to be told they had no sausages so we had double of the veggie bacon, although mine was partly the rind (which was... More

Gosh! We are a family of vegetarians and my 2 year old is currently off dairy for medical reasons. Let's go to Alley Cafe I thought as then we don't need to worry about dairy content we thought. Wrong! We asked if the bread used in the meal contained milk, they weren't sure, come on guys you're supposed to be... More

We have been going to this little vegetarian cafe in Nottingham for many years and have always enjoyed the fact that although small, they have a lot to offer and the staff always friendly, not to mention how good the food is (was)! Was in Nottingham for the week over Christmas and decided to have lunch. There was one guy... More

I really like this place and have visited a fair few times. Their veggie and vegan food is lovely with great flavours, textures and colours and their smoothies are fresh. The only down side is that one time three of us put in an order, which was lost and an hour and a half later we left without having eaten.... More

Came here for a pre-gig drink. Found the place very cool and chilled with good music playing. Noticed they did veggie/vegan breakfasts so came again the next morning. Nice veggie breakfast that hit the spot and again, cool music and friendly staff. Cool place.

Booked a table on a Wednesday evening after a spot of late night Christmas shopping, I've previously visited a couple of times, but wanted to introduce my mum to the wonderful flavours and offerings of this lovely hidden gem. Greeted by a lovely lady: polite and friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. We ordered the special Wellington and... More

Have been a couple of times and the food is really nice. It could do with more seasoning (salt and pepper mainly!) but otherwise, it's really tasty! The cakes are heavenly too! Will be going again soon.
