2 kitchen staff and 2 floor staff somehow took an hour to serve 4 breakfasts, despite there being only 17 people in the place. Food was very high quality when it arrived (if a little squelchy). Baked beans were particularly good. Don't go in a rush, make a big hipster morning of it!

Dropped in for a pre cinema snack. The cheeseboard was one of the best we have had and the brownie was delicious. Lovely atmosphere.

Visited Jam Cafe for the very first time last night for the Wednesday open mic evening. We received a lovely warm welcome from the guys running the place and also the guy who runs the open mic. As strangers this was well appreciated. Great evening, lovely friendly customers and some fabulous artists and music. Look forward to returning again soon....

Using our friend "google" we stumbled across this quirky cafe for a great brunch after having one to many the night before. Not knowing Nottingham too well we thought we'd chance it and it was the BEST breakfast!! We clocked that they do events and quiz nights etc but we had plans for our evening so paid and went on... Sat outside on a pavement table on a sunny late September Wednesday lunchtime, watching the world go by and tucking into the Jam Cafe's Classic Breakfast - an awesome full English oval plateful. My companion requested fried eggs (and not broken neither - fusspot!) rather than the scrambled on the menu, which was amiably served with all the cruetine necessities.... More

This place has quite a layed back vibe which was nice. There was some nice stuff on the menu and what we tried we liked. Worth a try.

Went last night for tapas and really enjoyed the food but four dishes plus bread and dips was, on this occasion, a little too much for the two of us although we'd been to a food/wine tasting beforehand where the 'nibbles' had been bigger than expected so didn't sensibly factor that in to our order. Excellent relaxed and efficient service... More

A quirky little cafe in the heart of the lace market/Hockley. Nice and alternative, great music scene with a list of alternative ales and malts. Lovely food too. Jamcafe also takes part in various music festivals, be sure to pay a visit if you're looking for somewhere a little different.

It was a student hangout with cheap beer and snacks, musical jam sessions and good intellectual conversations. It's now been upgraded......still the same just the food is much better, good chef, decent seasonal choices for snacks. British tapas if you will.

Thank andrew R
