Lovely (if small) teahouse hidden away in the centre of Nottingham, usually very busy! A good selection of food and homemade cakes on offer, beautiful china and lovely ambience. Staff are friendly and helpful. There isn't really room for pushchairs so we usually sit outside, which is covered over and just fine.

traditional sandwiches and cake selections. Small, without feeling too squashed in! The smoked salmon sandwiches (served in traditional triangular style) were very fresh and carefully presented with salad and crisps. Customers included pensioner shoppers, students and foreign visitors, suggesting a loyal clientel

Stopped here on Saturday afternoon for tea and tea cakes. Really loved the vintage décor with the bunting, pretty tea pots and mismatched cups and saucers. Its fairly small, with not many tables, so I can imagine it can get quite crowded. We had a lovely time, service was friendly, we didn't feel rushed and the tea cakes were delicious.... More

Yesterday I met a friend for afternoon tea at the cute bridlesmith gate cafe. Atmosphere as always very lovely, very busy and cakes looking delicious on the counter top. We ordered our afternoon tea, and then we're asked which sandwich we would prefer, we both had to ask again as I thought the lovely lady meant veggie or meat. But... More

If you like quirky intimate English tea rooms this is the place for you. Vintage decor, tea pots and cups and saucers. Obviously all around the rabbit scheme. They serve sandwiches, soup and high teas and cake. The cake looks home made and there's a good choice. The waitress is very efficient and accommodating. A bit of a shame for... More

We were on our way from London to Durham and took a break at Nottingham. ordered 2 teas and some scones, service for the middle age lady wasn't too friendly (to us - maybe because we weren't locals?) Or maybe it was because we didn't order cake? She did exclaim - NO CAKE? It's a very pretty place especially for... More

We went as a group of 6 ladies to celebrate my mum's birthday. The venue is lovely and quaint and very pleasant. Mismatched tea cups and saucers, vintage cutlery and bunting all as you'd expect. The room is small and somewhat cramped but just about manageable. So to the food....at £15 a head I was a little disappointed. A small... More

What a lovely venue for an 80th birthday tea party. Our group of cheeky chatty seniors thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous old fashioned tea at The White Rabbit. Served on beautiful china, the tasty sandwiches, Scones with clotted cream and jam, and the most amazing selection of home made cakes went down a treat. Nothing was too much trouble to make... More

White Rabbit is the sort of place you want to go to. It's traditional, it's simple and it certainly offers some good cake selection. However, the concept is not fully pulled off. It is a tired and dull experience. The quality of cakes almost brings it out of the depths, but not quite. It aims to be a place that... More
