It's tempting to eat at the cafe because it is the far end of the site so makes a natural break between walking around the dig & ruins, and examining the museum exhibits. However, think it better for coffee or tea break than lunch. Food...More

Necessary cafe to take break in Vindolanda; tasty pies and soups for chilly days. Also outdoor seating next to outdoor museum. I imagine could get crowded.

This popular cafe can be very busy, but it's worth waiting for a seat. Good wholesome food to provide sustenance for the rest of the site visit.
