This is a quaint, old fashion looking cafe or tea room. Very relaxing place - ideal after a long journey from the north! No pretensions, no fuss. Just straightforward , but good grub. (Please note there are a few Greek dishes on the menu which looked good)

Visited here this afternoon for a quick stop for coffee and a bite to eat, I'd never been before but some family I was with had been and said it was a nice little place. Coffee and scones were great and some of my family had the toasties that looks very nice too, overall a nice cafe and friendly staff.... More

My husband and I popped in for coffee and cake during a valentines week away. We'd been here before but it was now under new management and the new owners were just delightful! Cake and coffees were wonderful and the place is both quaint and eclectic! I imagine on an evening it's very cosy and romantic with candles and fairy... More

A lovely little family-run cafe, a great place to hang out. The menu is broad for a modest restaurant, and daily specials liven it up.

This is a really friendly little place, the service is excellent and the food lovely. The menu is varied and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Good value too. We will definitely go back.

Lovely friendly cafe, tucked away just near the old geol, we had coffee and warm homemade scone with butter and homemade jam, and lemon meringue both were absolute gorgeous... We bought two pieces of the homemade deep filled (and really is deep) apple pie to bring home, and was gorgeous.. Would highly recommend a visit if your going or passing... More

Very friendly staff and good quality home made style food. it is a little tuck away behind the Old Goal but worth seeking out if you are near the Abbey or Market Place.

This is a great little place tucked away from the main street. There is sitting area inside or out. It is a nice little coffee/café during the day where you can get a bite to eat or just a cuppa then turns into a fantastic restaurant at night serving lovely food in the evening. The staff are brilliant and friendly

Had a coffee and scone here while house hunting in hexham. Such a lovely place with a great atmosphere. Great coffee but the highlight was the ginger and rhubarb jam. To die for! Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Nice cafe, quaint and not the cheapest but that's fine as still good value and worth the high quality ingredients, the sandwiches are to die for, my top tip is try the mozzarella n tomato with pesto. oh and the service is lovely too!
