Visited Hexham recently for the first time and really glad we stumbled across this gem! The food was excellent (try the beef burger, the Bloody Mary ketchup is yum, and the chips are something special) and the staff and the surroundings just made everything really chilled and welcoming. The terrace at the rear is a nice little sun trap too.... More

This was recommended by another restaurant in Hexham that was about to close when we arrived. It was excellent. The pub was celebrating its first birthday in its current guise, and it's clear that the current owners have put a lot of thought into the surroundings and atmosphere. The menu was varied with plenty of choice. My wife and I... More

Four of us decided to pop in for a drink and a bite to eat, we decided just to mix and match picking a few sharers off menu,(olives/chips/fish cakes/squid/ ham hock terine etc,and it was all very nice. We sat in outside as it was very warm The food was light, ideal with a glass of white. Staff good and helpfull.

We ate here whilst staying in the area. The service was very good, very friendly staff, decent selection of ales. The food was very good, fresh and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

It was our first trip to Hexham and we really fancied a pub meal close to where we were staying. This pub came up on Trip Advisor so we thought we'd give it a try. The decor is absolutely lovely, blending both the old and the new in a beautiful way. We sat at a table and within a few... More
