Midweek lunch

My first impressions were it was pretty basic, however as we stayed for three hours we must have been relaxed! We weren't hassled by staff to hurry either. Saw this place advertised on a billboard in the street so wandered in for lunch. Just a quaint coffee shop that serves home made food. nothing fancy, but if you want just something simple and nutritious, and not expensive, then this is the place to try.

A quaint little place which always seems to be busy. Lovely scones and tea all served promptly with a smile. Very clean and well presented.

Looks like it could be superb but the menu is uninspired - staff were very nice but it was quite and they were sitting chatting and tables needed to be cleared and sorted, which added to the neglected atmosphere - could do with a little Music. Someone needs to go in and pull it all together and care.

We chose this tearoom because of the positive reviews on tripadvisor. It took a bit of finding, but we were pleased to find several spare tables in this generous sized cafe. We had a choice between menu items and cabinet food, and chose sandwiches from the menu (Coronation chicken and a hot bacon and mushroom) to start followed by scones... More

Called in for a quick bite to eat whilst shopping in Hexham. Had a coffee and a scone, both really nice. Reasonable price compared to some cafes in Hexham. Staff were welcoming and the service was great. Will return soon!

Been in a few times to Mrs Miggins, food was excellent, service was second to none, staff were very friendly and efficient. Cakes and scones were amazing. Definitely my preferred choice of all the places to eat in Hexham, would highly recommend.

Having travelled from Alston and completed my various activities in Hexham I always make for the safe haven of Mrs Miggins where I can rely on a super cup of coffee latte served by the delightful staff. An oasis in the shipwreck of my life ! Well done to everyone. Trevor Wright, Alston.

I never visit Hexham without visiting Mrs Miggins. Always a friendly welcome, a good selection of food and drinks , gorgeous homemade cakes and efficient service. My special dietary requirements are always catered for without any problems. Splendid.
