This is our local pub and every time we have visited for a meal we have brought along 10/15 friends booked a table and had a lovely hot stone steak. The atmosphere at the bar area is great the locals all talk to you and are friendly. Really good evening in the local we will be back again soon.

Noisy but friendly locals. Good grub. Pass away a boisterous evening with them. No idea what they are laughing at. Maybe me!

My husband ordered the fish , chips and peas, and I ordered the sweet potato, chick pea and spinach curry with rice and a naan. My husband's cod?? was full of bones, and seemed very small and flat for a piece of cod. My curry was quite tasty, but appeared to have been microwaved as some parts were hotter than... More

We ate here on a Wednesday eveing. We got there just after 6pm and the place was quiet but started to fill rapidly during the course of the meal. Always a good sign because it means a lot of folk are voting with their feet as they like the place and food. A very pleasant restaurant and the service was... More

A great place and a really brilliant find. Food was lovely, we turned up at 8.20 and choose fish and chips and the vegetarian pie. Staff really friendly, eating area really clean. Menu is different from website, so beware choosing before you get there, but even so if you want homecooked wholesome food at very reasonable prices this is the... More

Popped in for a pit stop on the way back from a family wedding. We had a couple of drinks in the welcoming and homely bar. We weren't really hungry, only wanted something light and the landlord was more than accommodating. We had cheesey chips with bacon which were to die for! There were several people earing Sunday lunch which... More

To use the ladies toilet you have to go through the dining area. Not very nice for you and the diners. As the only pub in the village the landlord should address the problem of the access for disabled customers.

We visited this pub for my sister's 50th birthday, as some of her friends local to the pub proposed it would be a nice place for a group meal and then to join one of their monthly karaoke nights. Our table for 13 took up most of the restaurant side of the pub and the pub allowed us to decorate... More

The food was incredibly bad. Limp lettuce one slice of tomato and onion has not been classed as a salad since the 1970's. The portions were small and prices high and I left the table hungry. The sun umbrellas were flying around the garden whilst children were playing as they had no bases. The staff were not concerned about this.... More
