Visited with 2 year old daughter and received great and friendly service. Food was good and the children's menu was a success! Beer menu was pretty good if you like proper ale as well! All in all highly recommended.

Having just visited York Minster we ambled outside and down to Goodramgate with its quaint streets and found the Royal Oak. The food, drinks, service and environment are second to none. It really is such a fantastic, traditional pub and one which needs to be frequented by any visitor to York.
