If you like microwave meals go for it! I had chilli which was very obviously a ready meal and a very small portion made to look better with a couple of jalapeños on top. My partner had steak pie, ok but the mash looked as if it had been sat around for ages and reheated. Won't be going there again.

We had the greatest pleasure of opening this venue with my band in October, after their money well spent refurbishment. Very much a top place to play (musician wise), and we ate there too. We'll priced pub grub, served in a most friendly atmosphere by Wendi and her great staff. Friendly locals frequent the venue and they're very welcoming of... More

Just wanted to say how The Ainsty has improved over the last few months, not just the refurb and the new menu which is great, something in there for everyone. Like any pub theres a turnover of staff as a local we've seen many pass through over the years but the current staff are great, welcoming and cant do enough... More

Late Sunday lunch call. Very basic layout with bare wooden floors didn't do much for the acoustics. There were some very noisy drinkers and background music was way too loud for my liking. Menu showed basic pub fayre at good prices and I took the steak pie option. The mashed potatoes were quite waxy and the only veg was a... More

If you don't mind cold veg, chewy meat and minuscule portions and you have plenty of time to wait, then look no further. Visited The Ainsty for a family meal and won't be returning any time soon. Very disappointing.
