I found this pub by accident whilst walking around York the only thing is the interior is too modern for the age of the pub but other than that excellent

We were in York yesterday with our friends the weather wasn't so good with frequent showers so we just needed somewhere for a bite to eat and a drink. As we have two puppies it needed to be Dog Friendly so the sign on the...More

I was looking forward to going to this pub. It looked so nice from the outside and I'd heard good things. However from the moment I stepped inside I wasn't impressed. The atmosphere really leaves a lot to be desired, and it felt like everyone...More

Never ever visit York and leave without calling in at The Three Tuns. This is probably my favourite pub in the city. I think it's just the whole first impression to the atmosphere and the staff. The food is pretty good too although we didn't...More

Every time I've passed this place I've fancied a visit. I'm a huge fan of quirky old buildings, so I certainly found what I was after. Real ales, zero right angles, friendly staff and one of the god damn best pub meals I've ever had....More

This place was established in 1872. Tuns are barrels that hold 216 gallons. They used to be stored in the back of here. We had the fish and chips which was a,large portion and very good. Very old and authentic place. Loved it

We stumbled upon this pub at 2 o'clock hungry after our walking tour. Enormous fish and chips and mushy peas, easy too much batterr for more. Nice quiet pub with good beers.
