On a rainy day in Whitby all you want is a decent cup of tea and a warm. As soon as you enter the building the stench of frying hits you, had it not been raining we would have probably not stayed and had a cup of cheap tasting tea. There are plenty to keep youngsters entertained if you have... More

As I approached the building with high hopes, all we wanting was a warm drink on a rainy day. We were greeted by disgustingly rude staff and an overpriced menu which gave us high expectations. These expectations were sadly not met by our order. Chipped cups not glazed dougnuts, foreign weird tasting coke and mildly off-putting aroma. Would not recommend... More

Approached the cafe with high hopes. Sat on sofas which contained crumbs and other various pieces of litter. Cups were chipped. Very basic and overpriced. Very disappointing.Would not return

We had a day trip to whitby, after parking the car (not cheap) or disc if you have one we went to this cafe for a tea and latte. The latte was rather cool and had to top it up with hot water from my wife's tea. Did not have a meal so can't comment but the place looked clean and... More

what a pleasant surprise. Called in for a quick drink after a day out and was shocked at how pleasant, clean and friendly this place was. They also serve a variety of dishes and I would recommend coming here if you have children.

Hi All, We had stopped for some coffee and cake after our visit to the Whitby Beach. The view from the cafe is great but the quality of food was just about average. The cake was not at all fresh and soggy. The granola slice was too hard to bite in :-( And coffee was just made in a rush... More

Good value for money with a lot of choice. Great for families with children as there are toys for them to play with and also good for people with dogs as they are welcome here.

We went last week to this restaurant and I must say all the reviews are true: the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but so child friendly inside: loads of toys around the restaurant plus a whole dedicated area for the children ( including pencils, different toys, books and magazines). The restaurant provides children's cutlery, the menu is... More

Went here to have some lunch and was surprised by the prices for a beach café which was not on the beach. Prices were comparable to a more upmarket café than this was. Person who was serving was more interested in speaking to her friend than serving my family so just had a tea and a coffee (price of coffee... More
