We managed to get an early slot here at the last minute, which pleased us as we'd eaten here a couple of years ago and were very impressed with the food and service. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated downstairs. Even though the restaurant is large and spacious and being early it was far from full it... More

On returning to Whitby we asked the kids if there was one restaurant they could go back to, which would it be. They chose Cosa Nostra which is a good endorsement. Good service, food and Peroni. Everything was spot on and the goats cheese starter was a high point for me, which I followed with a risotto.

Went here for a meal on New years eve. Food was very nice. Garlic bread to start, thin and crispy just the way it should be. Had the steak fillet pasta for main, really tasty, just think the portion could have been slightly larger. And sticky toffee pudding for dessert, swimming in toffee sauce, I loved it. Being new years... More

A quaint little Italian with excellent service. Food was delicious and portions more than adequate. Sadly my partner took ill during the meal but the staff kindly put her meal in a Tupperware for us to take home. Definitely recommended. Excellent value for money.

Ended up here as we hadn't booked anywhere and many places were closing at 7pm (out of season I guess). The staff are very welcoming and friendly and we were seated quickly. Unfortunately the venue is rather large and cold. There was music playing but it echoed rather than adding the atmosphere. I sat with my scarf on and my... More

Booked a table last minute and they were more than happy to squeeze us in. Tried the pasta with fillet steak, absolutely gorgeous and could not finish! Nice generous portions. They allowed carol singers to come in and sing for a little while and it felt so Christmassy. And to top it off, all the staff were so welcoming and... More

Large, echo filled hall with plenty of seating. Basic Italian fare, reasonably priced and not rushed. Pasta made a change from sea food. Doesn't jump out and say "eat here" very basic. Nothing else to say about the place.

Thank Mr B
