I don't need to repeat all the good things others have said as our experience at this unique place reflects the positive comments already made. One point to note - I was particularly impressed with the extraordinary good value. Just a few pounds for a filling and tasty main course. The staff were extremely accommodating to a large family, putting... More

This is truly a great restaurant, freshly made pies, just delicious; real comfort food. If you are in Whitby this little place must be on your list of places to go. A great range of different pies, it is a small place so can get full quickly and because it is popular there is often ques outside.

This was our third time at Humble Pie so I thought I'd better give it a rave review! A properly historic (as opposed to themed) humble pie and mash shop. A full plate (enamelled of course) of pie, mash and peas (mushy or green). Plenty of choice in the pie department with the classic steak being my favourite. The pies... More

I can put up with the service being a bit slow (to order), and having to go across the road to get a beer, when the pie is this good. Children are welcome, and they can have sausages if they don't like pie.

OK, so we had to queue outside on a drizzly evening but it was well worth it. Great home made pies served with a sizeable dollop of mash and a choice of peas (garden or mushy) washed down with a cup of tea or your own wine or other alcoholic drinks (no corkage charge). Truly olde worlde pie shop with... More

Went here with family and a small dog, made very welcome, dogs welcome too but must be kept on the floor which is understandable but great to have a meal out while with your pooch. We all had steak and ale pie with mash and mushy peas, the pies are stuffed full, couldn't move after eating my meal, really great... More

Great food. Good price. Hearty cuisine for when you are fed up of chips! Highly recommended. Just make sure you are hungry before you go.

We visited here on the recommendation of a friend. We took advantage of the upstairs seating and loved the retro styling of the dining rooms. Service was quick and friendly and the pies were lovely. Only 6.99 for a meal it was excellent value too. Shall return in the future.

We are a small unlicensed eatery, serving just pie mash peas and gravy. We welcome dogs and their owners but have a dog free area upstairs. We don't have any Alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own or pop over the road to the Endeavour pub who will let you bring a nice cold pint back to your food.If we do something wrong or make a mistake, please let us know or contact me through the messaging service and i will put it right.I believe you should be able to have a filling quality meal for a decent price.
