Getting in there is like being passing through a kind of fantasy movie setting... the wooden walls are full of old books, the floor crunches when you step on it... the decoration is wonderful. Good variety of cakes, coffees and teas... the service is pretty kind. You won't got out from there... (Check out the picture of the snow in... More

Even at lunch time on a busy Summer day we managed to get a seat in this small coffee shop. The staff were very helpful and the service was fine despite the place being busy. A reasonable snacky type menu.Food followed the order in quick time preceded by a tasty hot coffee. My wife ordered a cheddar cheese and onion... More

Amazing decor/theme around the house, upstairs seating too. I will say that there isn't a lot of space inside so not recommended for prams or wheelchairs. The food and drinks are very nice and the staff very helpfull and polite. I do recommend the afternoon tea tho!...Yum Yum!.

As you will see by any of my other reviews, I am honest and fair. I do not give bad reviews out of spite, I do them for the benefit of others and hopefully the management of the place in question. Having walked past this establishment on several occasions with my wife, we always said we'd try it one day.... More

We came across this quaint little coffee house quite by chance and as it is dog friendly, and our two little dogs were with us, decided to give it a go. How glad we were that we did! Friendly staff, lovely coffee. My ham salad was delicious, fresh and well presented and my husband's chicken and bacon on ciabatta was... More

We went today for coffee and cakes with my mom who is on holiday from the Midlands. The scones were fantastic and good helping of jam and cream. Coffee is excellent. Lovely inside just like exploring an interesting old house full of books. Cakes looked fantastic will have to try them next time we go.

This is a beautiful tea room in Whitby. The building is amazing, a warren of nooks and crannies that wind back from the street and are candlelit. Friendly service, excellent coffe, tea and huge, delicious cakes and sandwiches. The best cafe in Whitby.
