We have eaten in Sherlock's many times and always return. It's such a quirky atmospheric coffee shop. I love it. We popped in Saturday morning and had hot chocolates and toasted teacakes. The staff are always lovely and you can't beat the surroundings. This time I didn't have cake but there's a really good selection of home made cakes to... More

Lovely warm scones with the cream tea and freshly baked on the premises. Very quaint interior and cosy. Lovely place to bury yourself for an indulgent afternoon tea.

We were walking the area and this place had been recommended so we dropped in for a sit down and snack.. Very nice coffee and scones (large). Good price. Convenient in shopping area.

Really pleasant experience everytime we visit Sherlocks, always has an excellent selection of cakes and there is a good range of savoury options on the menu. Service is excellent and the coffee is great, always recommend to anyone who asks where is good to go in Whitby :)

We like Sherlock's a lot. We like the quirky nature of the rooms spread over 3 floors. We like the interesting decor. We like that it is always the right temperature even on an East Coast windy day! But most of all we like the standards of the place. From the service to the tea, Sherlock's is wonderful. Orders are... More

Ordered cream teas for me and hubby. Best cup of tea all weekend! As for the cream tea ahhhhh simply gorgeous! Quirky place to eat, little cramped but didn't care!

Stumbled upon Sherlocks while we were wondering around Whitby. It's a quirky great little place, friendly staff, easy on the pocket and a great coffee. I always like a place where you can order a toasted teacake, rather than a calorie ladened slab of cake.

First visit and loved It! Small cosy cafe/tea rooms, the decor was quirky with lots to look at. We popped in for a toasted tea cake and a pot of tea, the service was warm and welcoming. Would recommend a visit.

This is a real gem of a place with a cozy and quirky feel. Service was very good, drinks were great and the cake was delicious. Well worth a visit if you ask me.

Very cosy with tasty scones that have plenty of jam and clotted cream. Nice friendly staff, that found us a table.

Description
This is a beautiful tea room in Whitby. The building is amazing, a warren of nooks and crannies that wind back from the street and are candlelit. Friendly service, excellent coffe, tea and huge, delicious cakes and sandwiches. The best cafe in Whitby.
