Quaint place fro refreshments. Don't try the chocolate fudge cake unless you can manage a huge portion. It really was enormous with two very large scoops of ice cream, so very tasty. Another slice of cake was too large to finish so a staff member obligingly boxed it for us to tai e away.

Called here with friends during regatta week as almost every restaurant was full. Basically panini and deserts but tasty and quick service. Would use again when all I wanted was a snack.

I visited here with friends and family for a spot of afternoon tea and it was great. Two cream teas, a huge milkshake and fresh juice for just over £10 we thought was very reasonable. The scones and cakes were all homemade and generous in their proportions. The tea room itself is really quirky and welcoming with seating both upstairs... More

A huge treat for both Victorian , Gothic and Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts. The food is a delight and so original. The place filled with Sherlock books and Victorian items. The drink and food even have Sherlock and Dracula themes. A rare haven of deep comfort.

if you want to step back in time, this little place is lovely; it is dark with lots of wood panelling. the service is good and the food tasty. it has different seating areas, with the first seating area in the front with a few small tables, then walking through to another room, which is very cosy with a real... After arriving in Whitby, I looked for a place where I could sit and enjoy the sanctity of my mind. I looked and looked and came across a small coffee house. I took meek look inside the doorway and read a friendly sign, "come in strangers, leave as friends". I asked for a table for one and I asked for... More

This is a beautiful tea room in Whitby. The building is amazing, a warren of nooks and crannies that wind back from the street and are candlelit. Friendly service, excellent coffe, tea and huge, delicious cakes and sandwiches. The best cafe in Whitby.
