We went to the takeaway for Fish and Chips and a pot of curry...We really enjoyed them,Everything was cooked nicely and tasted well,We liked the packaging with the Hadley's logo,The curry wasn't spicy and good value at 75p,Only downfall is there wasn't many chips.

You can't visit Whitby without eating fish and chips, it would be rude not to. So on Saturday tea time we paid Hadley's a visit. We've never eaten here before but thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did because there were four of us and there were four empty plates at the end. We all had either... More

Hadleys has changed a lot in the 15 odd years I've been going, they're obviously doing very well as the restaurant has dramatically expanded in terms of dining space, I remember days cramped up on the front window with diners having to brush past you to get to the toilets. No such problems now and the whole refit is very... More

I first came in here over 30 years ago have been in many times since (although not for about 15 years despite being regular visitors to the town - there's a lot of choice in Whitby). I remembered it as being good though,so popped in for lunch recently. We were seated through the back which was a bit dark and... More

A trip to Whitby isn't complete without fish and chips but with so many to choose from it's difficult to find the best Hadley,s is certainly top of my list. This cafe is beautifully clean even at busy times tables are cleared and relaid straight away the staff are friendly and very helpful. All food is cooked fresh and served... More

This was our first visit to Hadley's and we were not disappointed, the haddock was white flaky and fresh, the chips were not greasy, we also had bread and butter (white and brown) with a pot of tea. The service was quick and polite when we placed the order and they returned quickly with the meals freshly fried. During the... More

I know everyone raves about the "Magpie" but this is my favourite place in Whitby for fish and chips. It was up to it's usual standard the food was delicious and the service prompt and friendly.

Well worth getting your fish and chips from Hadleys whilst in Whitby. Freshly made food, clean and comfortable surroundings and service was great.

We went here on recommendation of a friend who said this place had the best fish & chips in Whitby. However, the place has been refurbished since, so lacks any kind of authenticity now sadly. It was also pretty filthy as the staff were over stretched and some people with kids just left their tables in an awful state, so... More

We visited here on the recommendation of a friend and were very pleased we did. In my opinion the food was better than the more famous Magpie fish and chip restaurant. The service was good and the food was very good. It has many tables and you can choose to sit at the window and watch people going past as... More
