Weary after a drive out along the coast, an inviting frontage surpassed only by the warm and friendly welcome inside. A really lovely place to relax and enjoy super home style food in friendly large portions. We will return :)

Called in for coffee and cake again whilst visiting this wonderful town. The coffee's were served piping hot and quickly given that all tables were full. The homemade cake Raspberry and White Chocolate was absolutely scrumptious. It is just a delight to have a place that actually makes delicious home made cakes. The panini's looked lovely too with big fillings.... More

Beckett's is a lovely little cafe on Skinner Street. It was probably the first dog friendly cafe in town and now many others are following their lead. You'll get friendly staff, good coffee, tasty paninis, homemade soups and the most fabulous cakes. Well worth a visit, even if you don't have a dog. While there, you can also browse the... More

We found this place today and I couldnt wait to review it. What a gem!! I had read about it so set out to find it this afternoon . There was one table left in the corner of the window so we settled our dog under the table and started to read the menu. We both chose an ice cream... More

First visit to Beckett's and it did not disappoint. The service was great. The staff were friendly and happy. My daughter said the candy floss mikshake was the best milkshake ever. The cakes were delicious and moist. Iced coffee was the best I've tasted. Not just cold coffee. Cannot wait to go again.

We have been visiting Beckett's for some time now, as it is one of the highlights of our trips to Whitby. Plenty of atmosphere with great customer service. So genuinely friendly and they especially love their doggie visitors too, who all get hand fed a treat and given a water dish (& any cake their owners would like to sneak... More

Stopped here for Breakfast for our 3rd visit so far. I had the Whitby dragon sausage beckannini which was great as usual. Dog friendly, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. This is our first stop when we come to Whitby.

Description
Beckett's is a small, family-run, dog-friendly coffee shop off the beaten track in lovely Skinner Street. We serve a small but ever-changing menu made from local ingredients where possible including delicious soups and 'beckanini' - which are large, soft and not gum-cloggingly dry. Our cakes are all sticky and home-made using real butter and free-range eggs (the rhubarb and custard cake is a favourite) and new this year are home-made cookies. The coffee is delicious and all Fairtrade.
