We had this restaurant recommended to us by friends, so we took their advice and booked the night before, as it can get busy. We were shown to our table and ordered our drinks. The menu was very good, quite a decent choice. We didn't order starters, we ordered a garlic chili chicken, a chicken tikka masala, a peshwari naan,... More

Really tasty, fresh food served until late, accompanied by lovely service. We shared the Prawn Puree (highly recommended) followed by the Makhani and Tikka Masala with garlic naans (very garlicky). A very reasonable bill rounded off the meal perfectly.

We went here on a recommendation and we were so disappointed. We both left our meals, service was poor, my meal was gritty and crunchy as though it had sand in it, and my husband's lamb rogan josh consisted mostly of tomatoes. We eat out regularly at Indian restaurants in Amsterdam which are great but this was the worst experience... More

Really nice meal and good unintrusive service . Well worth a visit if you want to give the fish and chips a miss.

We visited this restaurant while staying with family in a vacation cottage. While our home is now in California, the rest of our family is from the Huddersfield and Sheffield areas - so know Indian food well. We were impressed by the quality of the service, and by the food. In typical fashion, we got a few of our favorite... More

We went to Passage To India during a short stay in Whitby and can quite honestly say it was the best Indian food we have ever tasted. Being vegetarian my husband and I both chose the Vegetable balti and it was divine! The servings were more than generous, the service quick and efficient. Pity we couldn't stay longer, we will... We have had a take way before about a year ago. That time it was good. This time it was awful. Each main was in a thick tomato sauce no matter what you ordered. The starters were soggy. Oh dear please get better!

We were spending a couple of nights in Whitby and being curry lovers headed for the Passage to India. When we arrived we were show to a table right next to the kitchen even though there was only us and another table of customers, no problem as we move to another table, drinks and poppadoms ordered, which arrived in no... we were only in Whitby for 3 nights but the food here was absolutely yummy, so we had to go back a second time before we came home. If you like curry this is the place to go! My husband only ever eats chicken or prawn madras but on this occasion he shocked and surprised me and he tried the... More
