Loved the ‘Yorkshire ‘ welcome. We ate the ‘special’ Cottage Pie and Fish Bake - both served with vegetables and REAL chips. The service was excellent - cheery, attentive but not intrusive.

Stopped off for food while staying in Settle for the weekend. Great food, can get busy but worth waiting around for a seat. Staff very friendly and polite.

The interior is just OK. Looks countryfied. Nice selection of beers without being outstanding. However this pub has a stunning beer garden visually pleasing even when it's a little cool.More

Thank you for your comments regarding our "stunning" beer garden - you should see it in the summer! Regarding the pub's interior it is designed to look like a traditional old country pub - as that is what we are being the oldest remaining pub...More

Great meal, happy to prepare a child’s portion of scampi. Board games also a big hit with my 2 children. My husband commented on the very good range and quality of hand pulled ales. We will visit again
