Had the Homity pie which although nice was small and lukewarm and with a few grains on the side with beetroot and red cabbage and a few leaves really didn't hit the spot on a cold day and certainly didn't justify the £8.50 price tag. Left to go to another cafe for coffee and dessert. Pity, really need hot food... More

I love the ethos and morals of this wonderful vegetarian cafe and the food is great, imaginative and tasty. But please, please, change the manager. He is rude and does not have any training in running what was once a vibrant, busy beautiful place to go for eats. A gang of us used to go for lunch from work, he... More

! The management hasn't changed in all the twenty plus years we've been here, and to be accurate only 5 people have been banned during that time. Presumably Daisy knows one of these people and this is in grumpy solidarity! More positively, our customers love the fact that we are a quiet space and it's great that Daisy appreciates the... More

I was too late in arriving to try the food but there were cakes left so I had a vegan cookie and a drink and it was so nice, I would go back.

We open Tuesday to Saturday 10-4.30pm, 5pm on Saturdays. The cookie was also organic and made with fairtrade dark chocolate buttons, so glad you liked it. More

I've often visited the Greenhouse. The food is great, wholesome and organic. Today's visit was reminiscent of a John Cleese sketch, though; I was instructed to leave and banned. I got a call on my mobile (they don't like you using them in the Greenhouse), so when I was asked to get off my phone I tried to take it... More

If this was a Fawlty Towers sketch then Basil would have said something extremely rude about this customer. This review prompted an interesting discussion with Trip Advisor, about when a 'customer' is entitled to leave a review. This person presumably thought she would not be recognized (yes, she's done this before) and that by creating a scene just before closing... More

Two vegans and a vegetarian went and shared a chocolate chip cookie, bread pudding and shortbread. Each one had a different favourite. The chocolate chip cookie was vegan friendly but tasted better than a normal cookie - excellent texture and an impressive amount of chocolate chips in it! The bread pudding was very nutmeg-y and moist. The shortbread was far... More

I like the food and the atmosphere here... nice and calm, 70's crockery, book shop next door. Its like a trip back to wholefood cafes of the 80's. Excellent salads, good portions and great for those who are vegan or have allergies as very accommodating. Great!

Our first visit here after helping at an event at The Forum, very cool and pleasant sitting in the centre of the city, calm and quiet. Good choice of food and drink and really enjoyed the bookshop (nice cards too!) and gallery (upstairs).

We have visited several times now over the years, always had good friendly service and tasty food and a calm relaxed atmosphere and have often brought friends along with us. We came at Christmas this year after coming a few years on the trot but felt disappointed when we were told we had to pre - book the Christmas Meal... More

The Greenhouse café and shop sells organic, local and Fairtrade produce as part of the Greenhouse Trust's commitment to eco-agriculture. As an educational charity the staff and volunteers work together to prepare vegetarian/vegan food. Each purchase supports local organic growers, co-operatives and fair-trade projects from Norfolk and around the world and helps fund the building and the environmental education work run from the Greenhouse. The Cafe also offers Norfolk's' best and most extensive range of fine quality organic and vegan wines, especially biodynamic and low sulphur wines. We hold regular wine tastings and promotions. The food stocked in the shop is supplied by the UK's largest co-operative (Suma Wholefoods), linking together Fairtrade suppliers, in the UK and globally. The café has a garden, providing the Cafe with herbs and creating a quiet, relaxing space (phones off please) where people can meet and eat. The adjoining bookshop sells second-hand books and the gallery on the 1st floor are all designed to provide a place to learn and engage with the Climate Change Challenges around us.
