Suggested to a group of friends about meeting here for coffee this morning as I am a regular here for lunch / afternoon drinks and the occasional early morning coffee. I really wished I hadn’t! We were here at 845 and there was a group...More

Booked for Sunday lunch for 4 people. One of the reasons for booking was because of the car parking on site. We were then disappointed that on arriving the car park was full so we had to leave site find a parking space and return...More

Had the crab and to be honest it tasted old. My mums food was not very hot. The service was awkward. Our food seemed to attract fruit flies (we where sat inside). Unfortunately really do not recommend this restaurant.

Having been to The Georgian Townhouse several times over the past few years for celebratory meals I thought I would book this for my husband's 40th bday meal with the inlaws. Whilst the food was delicious, I have to say we left feeling somewhat disappointed...More

Our son treated the family to lunch while on leave from the Middle East. We were a mixed group of ages and tastes but were rewarded by a warm welcome and good service which continued throughout our meal. Most of us chose different dishes and...More

First visit since change of ownership. We ordered artisan bread to start. It arrived nearly 30mins after being prompted. It was dry brioche with cheap olive oil which was dreadful. Our meal arrived a few minutes later. The service and ambience was not good. This...More

The restaurant was very warm & friendly with a wide & varied menu. The staff were very professional. We could not fault the food, it was superb. A great choice for a meal.

Tried taking my partner here for a nice meal to Celebrate her new job. First issue, car park full! Next issue, seated at a table wedged between a wall and a large group booking who were rude, load and did not seem to care that...More

Was quite in the pub yet while we waited at the bar to be served two other groups walked in and were served immediately. Didn't bother waiting any longer which is a pity as the place looked alright.

It is. It's good. They do a belly pork with kimchi and mash that is *usually* to die for - it wasn't up to scratch last we went, but it's *usually* to die for. Their sharing platters are really pretty good with interesting bits and...More

Description
This is our Restaurant and bar review page. To review the hotel, please visit our hotel page. Many thanks It's about far more than a coat of paint... At The Georgian Townhouse - or TGT as we like to call it - we've created a little hidden city oasis where you come to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Combine 'Georgian' - yet funky modern - interior design with an enormous walled garden, loads of locally sourced quality produce, exciting and evolving seasonal menus, a collection of heritage cooking methods, some stylish and versatile function rooms, an interesting mix of craft beers, wines and spirits, and you begin to envisage TGT: seamlessly merging Georgian charm with a modern offbeat attitude, lashings of style, an abundance of personality. This is a corner where everything is just right. Please contact us directly to enquirer about room prices. Rooms now open - See you soon!
