We had an excellent meal here and the food is definitely comparable with any mid level restaurant in the city - good value and very well prepared and presented. However the confusion lies in the fact that from the outside it looks and feels more...More

We went with a friend and had a delightful evening. Pleasant staff and good food. We had starters but could have had only the main as it was quite large. Probably the right size for others. Good for taking friends

Visited on Saturday for the first time and I was very impressed. Greeted by extremely friendly staff. Served quickly. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Couldn’t have asked for more. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Went here for late lunch bank holiday Monday. Welcomed and sat inside by friendly staff. Food really good- chicken supreme and crab linguine were quite spicy! Highly recommended

I had meat board without chorizo 1 extra chicken shish instead off. My husband had the 28 day old steak. Both meals were delicious and I'm very fussy. Wine pricey but it was nice wine. Deffinately be back!!!

Popped in after shopping in Norwich for a quick lunch. Pleasant outside sitting area, 30C on arrival! Brilliant choice of real ales. Comprehensive menu, the sardines were amazing. Staff were friendly and welcoming, certainly coming back if in the area again.

Description
This historic public house has stood proudly for over 300 years situated in the popular area of The Golden Triangle in Norwich. In late 2015, Owner Rose Hanison did major renovation work and breathed much needed love and care back into the building. The aim is to provide great quality food and drink with a friendly and relaxed service while retaining a traditional pub atmosphere and style. The bar area is a laidback space that welcomes diners and drinkers alike, with various real ales available on our hand-pulls and bar snacks on offer throughout the day. We allow dogs in the bar area and can even provide biscuits for four-legged friends if they deserve a treat. The dining room offers a more restaurant-style environment and is great for all functions from meals for two, family gatherings and large parties. Highchairs are available for younger children and we offer a children's menu. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
