I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. My partner and I go to this restaurant regularly and as always the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is always delicious, definitely something special. The restaurant itself is clean and looks lovely inside. They...also cater for gluten free and vegetarian. I strongly recommend!More
It wasn't the best Thai I have had by a long way. The premises are clean and the service was good. Its not expensive, not cheap either. The starters were totally acceptable, I would even go as far as to say they were good. Main...courses were disappointing. I had the weeping tiger which I have had in quite a few Thai restaurants and this one was one of the worst. Very bland and it also looked unappetising. The marinade was watery and again just hot with no real flavour. All in all a bit of a disappointment which is a shame as the service was good and the restaurant itself is really well laid out and looks inviting.More
The food was actually pretty good on the whole, and most of the servers are very friendly. However, the lady with the visor, which she bizarrely wears up so it's like a hat not protecting anyone at all - wow. Her attitude is absolutely shocking...and is possibly one of the rudest people i have come across. Was passing by as this was next to our hotel; waited at the front as instructed and was immediately told off for not booking a table. Taken to one anyway and told us she needed it back by 7:30 - no issue, plenty of time. She was consistently blunt and rude throughout and it was a relief when someone else occasionally served us. Needs to take a hard look at herself, spoilt our visit and what was some decent food. Was that wound up at the end I almost said something as we didn't even get a thank you when we paid the bill! Heard her telling other staff off too, in view of customers. Dreadful.More
Walking past on a Wednesday evening (17:50) and popped in and asked for a table of three only to be reprimanded by I'm assuming the f.o.h manageress for not booking which then set the tone for the next 75 minutes. told we had to be...out by 7:30 which was ample time. our server was nothing but rude and ill mannered throughout despite us being polite and courteous.
a complete lack of covid-19 protocols, no names and numbers taken, visors and masks not being worn properly and to top it off a table of eight where seated as we left.
Ordered our food and drinks and still no smile. food arrived, i had Thai fishcakes and they where poor, just deep fried fish paste with a sweet chilli sauce which was very disappointing.
a young waitress tried to serve our food only for the f.o.h mangeress to shout at her and force her away, our mains came and the Panang curry was fantastic, tonnes of fresh flavour and a very good portions size. a real positive on a terrible experience so far.
time to pay and thankfully we got the £30 off because the experience was never worth £100!! we all paid and there was not even a thank you, a smile, a "have a nice evening" from this lady which put the cherry on top of a dreadful 75 minutes.
would i return? no. no matter how nice the main was, the sheer rudeness and unprofessionalism shown can't be justified.More
I was appalled by the lack of protocol and disregard for public health at this restaurant.
Arriving at the House with my wife we were taken to a table with no explanation of any COVID protocols they had put in place.
Once seated, I observed...some hand sanitizer by the entrance that was not offered by the waiter. I became more alarmed to feel the air condition was on and could see several of the staff who were kitted with visors had decided to remove the cover and wear them on the top of their heads like a hat.
They got the food order wrong so that only one starter arrived to begin, the other arrived more than 30 minutes later. All the food we received was very disappointing, was tepid and tasted like it was not freshly prepared.
There was little consideration and respect of social distancing by the staff. The final straw was when the bill finally arrived the waitress removed her mask and placed it on the table beside me so that she could operate the card payment machine! When I mentioned the concerns I had for the process, mistakes and poor quality I was told ‘Sorry we’ve been busy’More
The house doesn’t have a separate takeaway menu - I guess you can order food from the 3 main menus & bottled alcohol, the website isn’t very clear on how to order for home delivery, so I just called the number & the lady who...answered the phone was very polite. She also reread my order back to me & you pay by card over the phone. I was told order would be around 45mins to 1hour. Was here within 45mins. Check as they charge extra if you want prawns or meat added to a dish, prices are displayed on the A La’Carte menu. My reason for not giving an excellent score is that the website isn’t very clear on how to order takeaway for home delivery nor do they have a separate takeaway menu or give you one when you order, all bit of guess work. But they also forgot the cold bottled beer with my order - really poor service, so I had to recall the house twice to ask them where it was. The lady was very apologetic. I requested her to refund the beer back into my card on my second call to them, but she wouldn’t, she just said the driver would have to come back . . . 40 MINUTES later after we had eaten. It’s a shame, as I wanted the cold beer to go with my Drunken Duck.More
