Loads of people love this place and it could be that it's trendy, Jamie's, or in the city centre. I say turn it back into Waterstones book store so I can spend hours in there. It's just another outlet that requires a mortgage for a bit of flour and water.

Very good service, hilarious waiter. The food came quickly and it was good, but not perfect. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente but a bit too dry. The turkey had a nice hint of truffle but the cornflour was too overpowering. Disappointed that the nice red wine was served straight out of the bottle and not decanted. Otherwise a nice dinner

We booked in here for a bit of a treat whilst shopping on a Sat. The food and service was excellent as expected and really good value for money.

Went for lunch recently. Place was not crowded but service was slow. Very nice choice on the menu but food was not particularly brilliant and have had just as good Italian food at Bella Italia, and at a lot cheaoer price

Had lunch here with friends on a mid- week shopping trip. Staff friendly, service quick but food very overpriced. I had the special which was coley (one of the cheapest fish to buy) . The piece I had was tiny and it came with roast beetroot , half a dozen small pieces, and two sprigs of crispy kale. The fish... More

My sister and I went to Jamies for lunch. From start to finish the service was outstanding - thanks to our waiter called Steve. The lunch menu is excellent, plus it has a fabulous offer of 2 courses for £10.95 or 3 courses for £12.95. Choosing the latter we were not disappointed at all. We are returning very soon.

We have been frequent diners at Jamie's in Norwich and noticed that attendance has gone down steadily during the past year (particularly during weekdays). That makes that we almost felt 'lost' as there were few tables occupied (and that with the top floor closed). The food continues to be of high quality (we particularly liked the pastas, cheesecake, meat plank,... More

Jamie Oliver's restaurants are gems! Perfect portions, deliciously prepared, really competent wait staff, and not too pricey.

Ok food, fries far too salty. Rather meagre portions. Place seems dingy and grubby. Few cobwebs about and floor under our table not swept. We were first customers of the day. Decor artfully shabby chic. Just seems shabby to me. Service good, friendly staff. No thanks for the tip.

The minute you enter, "brand Oliver" hits you in the face. The restaurant is in the art nouveau arcade, and the décor and ambiance created were excellent. The food, however, was nothing special, and one of our dishes had to be sent back as it was far too salty. Overpriced for what it is, and rather disappointing.

Description
JAMIE'S ITALIAN NORWICH A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss. The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too. The Royal Arcade's gorgeous art nouveau style brings a touch of pure class to this elegant Jamie's Italian. The two-storey restaurant in Norwich seats more than 250 people and is ideally located in the middle of the city centre's main shopping area. Jamie's Italian Norwich is a great spot for anything from a mid-shopping pit stop or a casual dinner with friends to an intimate meal or a big celebration.
